The Accidental PMP: From Clueless to Confident in (Almost) Record Time

Picture me, Sarah. Fresh out of college, eyes wide with ambition, and resume thinner than a napkin after a spicy burrito. Project management? More like project panic. Deadlines loomed like hungry dragons, my inbox resembled a digital Mount Doom, and the only "agile" I knew was sprinting away from stress.Enter stage left, the PMP-this mythical creature whispered about in hushed tones by seasoned pros. It promised superpowers: laser focus, budget-slaying skills, and the ability to speak to stakeholders fluently as a boss whisperer. Intrigued? Heck yeah! So, I stumbled into the world of study guides, practice exams, and enough acronyms to make alphabet soup jealous. It wasn't sunshine and rainbows, let me tell you. My brain felt like it was trying to do calculus with a pizza crust, and the coffee bill? Don't even get me started. But with each late-night study session and conquered practice question, something shifted. The dragons started looking smaller, the inbox less monstrous, and my project panic morphed into, dare I say it, confidence? Then came the exam day. My palms were slicker than a greased watermelon, but I channeled my inner Beyoncé (in a power suit, no less) and slayed that beast. The email with "Congratulations!" still makes my heart do victory laps. So, what changed? Well, the PMP isn't just fancy letters after your name (although, let's be honest, they look pretty darn good). It's about unlocking the badassery within. It's about learning to think like a strategist, lead like a champion, and navigate the project jungle with the grace of a gazelle (okay, maybe a slightly caffeinated gazelle, but still!).This journey wasn't planned; it was accidental. But let me tell you, it was the best kind of accident. Now, projects that used to leave me in cold sweats are tackled with a smirk and a "hold my coffee." Diamond Girl

Lily doesn't know how she ended up working at Daveney Diamonds. Well, that's a lie, but she doesn't like to think about *that*. In fact, if she keeps her body angled a little to the left all day, she doesn't have to.The fact of the matter is this - Lily has worked in this labyrinthine building for two and a half years now. She frequently has tens of thousands of dollars (in diamonds) strewn across her desk, and an inbox overflowing with screenshots of engagement rings or wedding bands from prospective fiancés.Her own left hand is decidedly ringless, however. A fact that almost everyone cares to point out with (... flattering?) astonishment. She doesn't mind a bare ring finger, though. She's quite certain that all men are secretly devils, and the ones in this building are no exception.Aaron Tavarious is the actual worst, though. A metaphorical Minotaur that periodically stomps through the Daveney Diamonds maze, looking for maidens to devour. She calls him Aamon instead of Aaron, because it means "The Grand Marquis of Hell". She loves how his jaw ticks when she says it.Aaron, who sometimes deigns to grunt out speech to her, calls Lily "Lil' Shelob". Which is a nerdy reference she pretends to not understand. But, like the infamous spider, she does love to trap him in webs, if only to watch him struggle. So yes, things have been mostly good for Lily the last two and a half years, and Lily is content. Or at least she is pretty sure she is. No- scratch that, she is *certain* she is.But, well - Daveney Diamonds is changing, and maybe Lily needs to, too.***This is my FIRST book*****I appreciate you reading so much! Though I have a plot in mind, comments will help me so much with tweaks and bonus content!**

Punctuation

Punctuation means everything. Punctuation does everything. Punctuation is everything. I'm promoting punctuation. Promoting bringing commas back, promoting exclamation points, promoting questions and promoting finishing sentences when they need to be finished. Leave nothing unsaid. And use punctuation.

ANMOL ISHQ-A Love Like No Other

Vikrant Malhotra was a man chiselled from granite. At six feet two inches, he towered over most people, his broad shoulders and sharp jawline commanding instant respect. His dark, piercing eyes, usually narrowed in concentration, missed nothing. His salt-and-pepper hair, meticulously styled, spoke of a man who valued control, both in his business dealings and his personal life. Expensive suits hung impeccably on his lean frame, an outward symbol of the immense wealth he'd accumulated. Despite the air of authority he exuded, there was a hint of vulnerability in the way his gaze lingered on Maya, a flicker of something entirely alien to his usual steely composure.Maya Sharma stood in stark contrast to Vikrant. At 5'4", she was petite, her frame slender and graceful. Her beauty wasn't the kind that demanded attention. It was a quiet beauty, revealed in the gentle curve of her cheekbones, the warmth in her hazel eyes, the way her smile lit up her face like sunshine breaking through clouds. Her long, dark braid, usually adorned with a simple flower, cascaded down her back, a testament to her cultural roots. Dressed in modest kurtas and churidar pants, her clothes spoke of a life lived with practicality and a touch of elegance. Despite her shyness and introverted nature, a quiet strength resided within her. Her hands, which moved with practiced ease while helping the children, hinted at the dedication and focus she brought to her studies as a medical student at AIIMS Delhi. The glint of ambition in her eyes, however, betrayed a deeper desire - to become a neurosurgeon, a goal that demanded immense perseverance and a heart full of compassion, qualities Maya possessed in abundanceWhat will happen when a ruthless billionaire falls for an innocent soul.
