Preface Life's journey, as we all would agree, is full of many confrontational challenges and choices which hopefully enhance our spiritual growth. The greatest education I ever received was a hands-on twenty year period, while caring for both of my aged parents; my diploma was an emotional scar that was stamped with the word 'redundant', once they had passed. It was these feelings of emotional emptiness that prompted my choice to move overseas. I have always been a firm believer that all things happen for a reason. This new country of residence revealed, that despite all worldly cultural differences, rich or poor, people still share the most important ingredient that maintains life, that heavenly thing called 'LOVE'. My experiences from living abroad could only be described as inspirational gifts. These gifts have prompted me to express my feelings in a book compiled of short stories regarding real scenarios' with real people and how they deal with their epic problems brought about by natural disasters, and all done without the luxury of 'OOO' or 'welfare assistance'. The objective of this book is to capture the emotions of the readers, thus hoping they will reflect on their own personal values in an appreciative positive light. - 'There is always someone else in a much darker place, find your worth and share it and you will find your light.'
