Remus was glad he could play the song well enough by now that he didn't have to look down at his hands constantly, but then he made the stupid mistake of looking up at Sirius. Remus Lupin and Sirius Black have been best friends and partners since their time at Hogwarts. They were two members of the Marauders and loved their friends dearly. When tragedy strikes on Halloween night 1981, Remus and Sirius have their best friends' baby put in their care. This story is when James and Lily die, but everyone knows that it's Peter who ratted them out right away, meaning Harry was raised by Remus and Sirius. It's going to be happy, with sad parts of course, but it's just my twist on a slightly more upbeat version of the Marauders' lives.

The reason why the 2 haven't met each other is because Kerri doesn't live with the Dursleys. Instead she lives with her godfather, Remus Lupin, and his best friend Regulus Black. Regulus and Keres have always been close and this year Regulus will go to Hogwarts with Kerri as a black cat. Kerri has always wanted to meet her brother and was hoping she would be in Slytherin like Regulus.
