This is about me and my struggles and my life. I've started being depressed in at age 12. Many people see me as the bubbly, smart girl but they don't really know. This is the truth about me. These are my thoughts and my problems I go through.

This is my personal recovery. My relationship with food has been terrible for as long as I can remember. I started binging at 10 years old. Today I weigh 190. I am on a quest full of personal discovery to help combat my eating disorder. I am sharing my story to help others who may be in difficult position like myself.

Surgery sounds scary, doesn't it? It did to me, still does even though the operation already happened. Now have any of you ever heard of Scoliosis? I didn't. It wasn't important, wasn't even a word in my vocabuary. Scoliosis is an "abnormal lateral curvature of the spine". In my case, and most others, my spine was an "S". This journal will document my recovery after spinal surgery, a surgery that my surgeon said was "a traumatic experience to the body". I will also be talking about what I remember from the hospital and right before I went into surgery.
