Amethyst and her high school sweetheart Nasir broke up ages ago but she's still tied to him because of their six-year-old son. She has a banging body, a great job, and a great father for her child but that's about it. Sincere lives his life carefree until he finds himself falling for his long time friend, Amethyst, who just so happens to be the mother of his homeboy's child. Although Nasir moved on to marry Taya, there is still a spot in his heart for his first true love. He was young and dumb when he broke Amethyst's heart and it was something that he lived to regret everyday because no other woman, not even his wife, made him feel the way that Amethyst had. Taya feels like she's won the title because she made it down the aisle with Nasir, however, her jealous ways begin to cause friction in their marriage. Will Amethyst's secret damage the great co-parenting relationship she has with Nasir? Will Sincere and Nasir end a friendship of over ten years? Will Taya let her jealous and insecure ways go? Three years ago Sincere broke things off with Amethyst all while breaking her heart in the process. She moved away to Atlanta to get a new start. She never got over him and to top things off she has a huge secret that no one knows about other than her family. Amethyst returns to Fort Lauderdale and all hell breaks loose once her secret is revealed. Sincere never quite got over Amethyst especially since he only broke with her because he felt terrible about sleeping with his best friend's baby mama. He moved on and is now engaged to Jahbria but is Jahbria the one for him? After realizing that they were not meant for one another, Nasir and Taya filed for a divorce. The two of them are still very good friends but their marriage is in shambles. Taya wants nothing more than to work things out but Nas's heart is still with Ame. Kara left Wade for good but is struggling to get him to take care of their son Malik. Between tattooing and raising her son she doesn't have time for relationships or love until she finds love in a close friend.
