Janessa kicked the small pieces of chipped asphalt as she walked down the center of South 10th street. Her thoughts were out of control, compromising her sense of being. She didn't understand why --outof all of the places in the world -- her parents had to choose this town. The more she thought about it, the more she began to hate Zanesfield. It was her fourth day here, and she managed to befriend only two people: Erika Johnson, who was an outcast, and James Dower, who was a surprisingly charming, and attractive nerd. "Why me?" she spoke to herself. "Why them?" She continued to walk, dragging her feet on the ground. "Out of a thousand kids in this damn high school, only two people are interested in getting to know me. I don't get it. God, if you're listening, please help me. I don't want to be an outcast here. This is supposed to be a fresh start." She closed her eyes and tears began to run down her smooth olive skin. She took a deep breath and tucked her long, auburn hair behind her ears and turned to head home. "You really think God will help you?" Janessa jumped and turned on her heels to see a tall, muscular boy with sandy hair standing before her, to which she replied, "I like to think so. He seems to be the only person I can talk to at this point." The boy chuckled and crossed his arms. "God isn't a person, he's an idea. I doubt he'll help you." He kicked at the ground and stepped towards her. "Besides, you sounded like a crazy lady talking to him." Janessa laughed and chewed on her bottom lip. "How long were you listening?" She began to get nervous, I don't want him to know about my problems, she thought. He looked at her. "Doesn't matter. What's your name?" "Janessa Hamilton. You?" "Carson," he smiled, "Carson Tucker."

Lucia Hamilton wasn't exactly the poster child for a normal life. She grew up with abuse all around her daily life by her mother and her many boyfriends. She often times had visits to her aunts house when her mother would leave with whichever man she was fucking at the time. Until she never came back. And although Aunt Hanna knew what was going on, it was too hard for her to accept the fact that her sister was incapable of being the mother figure Lucy needed, so she'd became one herself. There Lucy had cousins, friends, love, peace, security, everything a little girl deserved but didn't know she had until it was gone. That was until her cousin got a new best-friend about 10 years back. He was a black haired, piercing green eyed, smirk wielding boy who stopped at no end to make her last safe haven a place of torture. Taunting, teasing, physically damaging and mentally scarring were no exceptions to the plague that was Lennox. Once a place that felt like home, began to feel like her prison. The change in her was obvious too and she stopped chatting like she used to, now became a more quiet girl. She didn't let anyone see how she was feeling, keeping it all bottled inside only to breakdown and close up again. She looked exactly the same, but it was clear it wasn't the same girl. Lucy had finally cracked and Lennox James Morrison was the anti-christ who started it all.It went on for years like this. No mother in sight and little peace for the golden locked girl. Until the day of her senior year, she made a pact to herself that she'd get better, feel stronger, wouldn't let anyone bring her down or stray her from where she wanted to go. They faded into the background and she barely paid attention to anything that felt like an anchor on her back. Everything became background noise.

Random rants and stuff I need to say to something or someone. A lot of it is probably gonna be really stupid, but this is gonna be full of stupidity, and even this description is stupid because I can't explain the stupidity I'm gonna be writing about in this book. Well, I shouldn't call it a book, maybe a...thing? All I know is that it's stupid. And if you understood any of that, good for you.
