The war has ended, the order got to Godrics Hollow before the death of James or Lily. They stopped him... for now. In her anger, before she was rounded up, Lord Voldemort's most loyal Death Eater, Bellatrix Lestrange, took the third most important thing from Lily after Harry and James.... she went after Petunia and her husband.
