Illusions of Roses
Here is a collection of a fraction of my poetry, written in journals, scribbled on napkins, and penned on programs, they vary in origin--from tearful times, to carefree calligraphy, to bitter breaths, to reflective responses. They are all from the heart, whether it be aching, bursting, breaking, stitching, or loving. Love's Gross
With an extended period of downtime on her hands, Cordelia finds a new friend in an odd place, only this next week will turn out to be one of the most formative in her young life...This story is fanfiction of a D&D campaign I play in, and is mostly for my own self indulgence, it does not serve as a gateway into the deep lore of Project Inheritance, but rather, a whole lot of fluff.This (very self indulgent) story is based on Project Inheritance, a closed homebrew D&D 5e campaign I play in. The world is undergoing a period of strife as the Raxan Rebels (a group much larger and more powerful than the name 'rebel' would suggest) are now powerful enough to be toppling governments. At the same time, the lines between realities are growing thin, and the natural order is shifting as realms begin to merge. Every person in this world also has an 'Inheritance' (although in universe they are simply called 'things') which is a curse or ability they gain at birth. These are generally useless, or even hindrances. (examples include addiction to eating rocks, or waking up with a different number of eyes after a long rest.)The Party:Cordelia 'Cordy' Irvine: A child half-elf who joined the party after they failed to protect her caretaker on an escort mission. With no home to return to, Cordelia (already used to being somewhat of a feral child) travels with the group, as she begins to learn more about her mysterious and absent mother, and her own unique abilities.Oakley: An elf who was raised in the fey wilds. He travels with his friend Libro as a sword-for-hireLibro: A crossbreed of several races, Libro travels with his friend Oakley in search of knowledge and new storiesScott: An Aasimar who fled the Raxan Rebels after witnessing the atrocities they were committing, he now works as a mercenaryAster: A Firbolg in search of a safe home for his entire family. About 70% of subjects go completely braindead by the first implanted quirk though. However, Nur jahan had an arch-rival in the zenana- the lady who had tried to stall her entry in Jahangir's life- Empress Jagat Gosaini, the second wife of Jahangir and the mother of Shah Jahan. The princess of Jodhpur, Jagat Gosaini was feared in the zenana for her sharp wit and political wisdom, her dominating personality. The woman who vied for her husband's attention, the woman who strived hard to make her mark, not only in the zenana but also in the court, the woman who challenged the powerful Noor Jahan- Jagat Gosaini's story is enigmatic in more ways than one and throws light into the Mughal politics, zenana and much more.
