Others wondered if their cows would moo in protest against the dairy tax.But amidst the jests and jibes, an idea sparked. The Kavirondo Taxpayers Association decided to host a 'Tax Carnival.' A day where everyone would come dressed as their favorite tax collector, complete with calculators and receipt books. They held mock debates, contests for the best tax puns, and even a 'Tax Dance-Off.'The carnival was such a hit that it caught the attention of the KRA officials. Impressed by their spirit, the officials agreed to hold a town hall meeting to discuss the community's concerns with empathy and humor.And so, through laughter and lightheartedness, the people of Kavirondo found a way to navigate the complexities of the Finance Bill 2024 . They showed that even when faced with serious matters like taxes, a little humor goes a long way in bringing people together.
