It's also the fic that partially inspired me to write, "Beacons Centurion".The sword, a damaging weapon with little defense. The sword is powerful and old, recently outdated by the use of ranged weaponry. Older still is the shield, that which defends, protects the body from attacks and is used in counters. One who cherishes life will not bear a sword or gun. He uses a shield and his words.
