Drana Lobbel wraz z licznym rodzeństwem miała bardzo szczęśliwe dzieciństwo. Mimo biedy jaka panowała w rybackiej rodzinie dawali sobie świetnie rade. Jednak w okolicy szóstego roku życia Drany jej ojciec Tarmil zginął na morzu zaskoczony nagłym sztormem. Z powodu bardzo ciężkiej sytuacji matka Sonia zwróciła się o pomoc do rodziny męża. Ku nieszczęściu młodych pomocną dłoń wyciągnęli (jak się później okazało) religijni fanatycy. Zmuszając rodzinę do haniebnych czynów zniszczyli życie dziecka zmuszając je wręcz do ucieczki. Drana wraz z bratem wyruszyli przed siebie chcąc zostawić piekło za sobą. Jednakże nie zyskali żadnej wolności czy spokoju. Krótko po tym jak przestąpili próg domu trafili w ręce handlarzy ludźmi. Wleczeni po licznych targach traktowani byli jak bydło. Aż pewnego dnia gdy statek którym płynęli z tajemniczych przyczyn utonął Drana jako rozbitek wylądowała u bram do najdzikszych puszczy kontynentu ,zamieszkiwanych przez dzikie plemienia elfów. Tam zmuszona została do walki o i tak już nędzne życie. Wywleczona na sam środek ringu musiała zmierzyć się z dotąd nie pokonanym wojownikiem. Będąc turbowana przez przeciwnika robiła wszystko by nie dać się zabić. Aż w końcu nie wytrzymując ,gdy ten tryumfował nad jej obolałym ciałem zgromadziła w sobie całą złość i ból jaki jej towarzyszył. Długim skokiem znalazła się na plecach oprawcy z nienawiścią wgryzając mu się w krtań. W przypływie furii zębami odrywała kawałki mięsa aż w końcu martwy upadł na ziemię. Dzięki tej walce zaskarbiła sobie szacunek starszyzny. Przyjęta do plemienia jeszcze tej samej nocy piła z czaszki ofiary. Nie przystając na laurach zaczęła się szkolić. Pod okiem doświadczonych łowców doskonaliła techniki oraz umiejętności. W końcu gdy zaczęła przerastać swoich mistrzów powróciła na stary kontynent.
