Under very interesting circumstances she meets this guy Christian Johnston who is in her own words spoiled, rich and ungrateful. They start off very roughly and only realize they are good partners although Christian has different approach to life. He is total opposite of Amanda . To lighten what linkens them together is the fact that their past is tied and it's almost the same. They both lost mothers when they were very young but the way they dealt with their grief is super different. Amanda is open to the world, she accepted her loss and grasped the memories of her mother. Christian on the other hand stayed angry at the world, gave up on women in general, decided to be a workaholic, hated his father and just isn't the person you want to irritate. He's cold towards everyone except this women who means the world to him.(Mrs Jones) who has worked for their family since he was born. The woman symbolizes goodness in his eyes, she is a true goddess who looked after him when him mother took her own life. From that moment onwards, life was never the same again for Christian. He sank in heartache, anger and felt robbed of his childhood. His father sent him off to a boarding school abroad and he was pushed into adulthood when only he was responsible for his own security. Amanda on the other side grew up as a god fearing woman who only knew her father as family. She could have studied if they could afford it. Her father's death took a toll on her life and she eventually finds herself dependent on the Johnstons after losing her job as a waitress. Amanda learns that her father just recently reconciled with Mr Johnston who he used to work for ages ago. She falls in love unexpectedly. Secretes are revealed, the past is relived, ashes turn to fire and wood burns turning everything upside down until there is completely nothing to hold on to for the new couple.
