The Beast

I was roaming the corridors of the castle trying to find something to keep me entertained, when I entered a room Princess Hyein was in....

"Shit!" I thought to myself wanting to avoid the maknae princess at all cost knowing she asks too many questions.

"Beast Unnie!" She exclaimed and I knew I was fucked.

I did my best to avoid eye contact with the princess but she knew right away I was hiding something.

"Are you okay, unnie?" The young princess asked me.

"Yes, your highness!" I responded as she approached me and inspected my face.

I held my breath as she did so knowing I should have waited the 24 hours it would take for the scratches on my face to fully dissappear to even think about leaving my room.

Princess Hyein then suddenly grabbed my wrist and dragged me with her to meet with the other princesses.

"Hoel! What happened to your face?" Princess Hanni asked as I looked at the floor trying to avoid their gazes.

"Y/n unnie, if someone is hurting you... you need to tell us," Princess Danielle spoke up.

I didn't respond. I didn't want them to worry about me.

"Did you get into a fight with the animals in the forest again?" Princess Haerin asked and my head immediately shot up at the thought of being asked if I was picking fights.

The Princesses took my sudden action as a yes and decided it was time for another self-control lesson.

I hated these sessions but I rather do them then tell them what was really going on.

We went to the main lawn at the back of the castle and the girls set up in a circle around me.

None of us really knew what we were doing in these 'lessons'.... it was really just them guessing... but I appreciated them trying their best to help me control my beast like characteristics.

Soon, The Five Princesses began with their stupid questions and loud noises.

I had gotten use to it at this point and the eldest princess knew that.... that's why she took a different approach this time.

"You were abandoned in this Kingdom because you're more beast than human," Princess Minji spoke.

"Unnie!" Princess Hanni exclaimed trying to tell her that was not nice.

"You're the eldest of us all, yet we always have to take care of you!" The Eldest spoke again.

"Minji stop!" Princess Hanni yelled at her again.

"It'd okay, there's some truth to her words" I said calmly.

"We always protect you and you never protect us!" The Eldest spoke up yet again.

My blood began to boil at the sound of those words.

"That's not true," I responded coldly starting to dig my claws into the palms of my hands.

"It's so," She responded.

I could see all of them tighten the grip on each other's hands bracing for what might happen next.

"It is not true," I responded again furrowing my eyebrows.

"It's true and you know it," The Eldest said before gulping.

I let out a soft animalistic groan then smirked.

Princess Minji then giggled and yelled, "RUN!".... knowing I only smirk with my fangs out when I'm about to lose control.

All of the princesses then scattered and I playfully rolled my eyes, pulling out a cigarette.

I sighed knowing what she had said got to me but not enough for me to lose my control.

I watched them with amusement tainted on my face as they ran around the castle expecting for me to chase after them.

"Well, I was looking for something to take the boredom away" I whispered to myself as I stomped on my cigarette butt then ran after them.
