The Beast

The Princesses ended up convincing me to stay the night. They thought that perhaps Hyein would change her mind in the morning.

I agreed...

And they gave me the reasonable accommodation of my old bedroom.

It was just as I left it.

Though, it reeked of the girls scents.

"Guess they've been nesting," I sighed out to myself.

I began to take off my Royal Suit, looking around the room I had once spent years in.

It was much homier than my Royal Quarters in The Titan Kingdom. I could see all the scratches I had left behind from all my angry nights. I could see the chest that held all my precious childhood memories of the girls. It all felt like home.

"What could have been," I breathed out as I hung my suit jacket on its old hook.

It was odd, but I felt at peace.

Though, it didn't last long.....

*BANG, BANG, BANG*

Someone was suddenly banging on my bedroom dooor.

"Your Majesty, the Gorgons have turned to stone!!" My head guard yelled through the door.

My eyes turned wide by such announcement and I immediately opened the door.

"What?!" I exclaimed in confusion.

Gorgons could only turned to stone if they did it to each other, as far as I knew... no one else in the world had Gorgons in their Kingdoms.

"NO, STOOPP!!"

"UNNNIEEEE!!!!"

"BEASTT!!!"

"AAAHHHHH!!!"

Screams suddenly started to echo through The Castle. "Wtf," I thought to myself.

"Hyein!!" I heard Minji's familiar screams.

I ran down the stairs to the main entrance to see what was going on and my heart sank to my stomach.

Hyein was being carried out of The Castle by 4 men. 

Queen Minji ran up to try to help Hyein escape, but the men were too strong for her.

Out of nowhere, men marched into The Castle like an army and started attacking my guards along with Philip's security team.

"UNNNIIE!!!" Hyein kept on screaming.

The Princesses soon came to aid the situation. They didn't even need instructions, they seemed to know just what to do.

Princess Haerin turned into a 30 foot Beast, while Princess Danielle aided her on the ground, Princess Hanni raised the dead to aid with the fight....

"Impressive," I thought to myself.

The Princess appeared to have learned how to use their powers.

Queen Minji even started to levitate and show her true power.

"Y/n!" The Queen suddenly yelled.

Her loud voice ended up refocusing me back on the situation.

"On it!" I yelled back as I turned into my full best form.

I charged at the men taking Hyein and threw two of them cross the village. Minji used her powers to freeze the other two and I scooped Hyein into my arms.

"Unnie, what are you doing?" Hyein asked, as I climbed up the side of The Castle to place her in the balcony of my bedroom.

"Stay right here and don't move. You see something, you yell!" I told her a bit agitated.

Princess Hyein just nodded, but.... before letting me go... she kissed me.

My heart started racing like crazy and I kissed her back before I never got the chance to again.

"BEAST!!" I heard Princess Hanni request.

I was about to follow orders, when Hyein suddenly stopped me.

"Let me help, this is my kingdom too," She softly requested, looking me in the eyes.

Her eyes were wide and soft. She a light smile on her face.

A smile I hadn't seen in a long time.

"Trust me," She whispered as she pecked my lips.

I sighed and turned around to let her hop on my back.

"Ready?" I asked.

Princess Hyein grabbed a tight grip on my fur and said, "Go".

I immediately followed orders and dropped back down to the ground.

"Hyein, do your thing!!" Queen Minji requested as once she caught sight of us.

I immediately came to a stop and let Hyein slide off my back. I watched as power start to emit from her hands. She peacefully walked up to every soul she could see and simply touched them.

"ARGHHH, NNOO!!!"

"PLEASE!! I WON'T DO IT AGAIN!!"

"I'M BEGGING YOU!!"

People suddenly started to drop to the ground in pure agony and despair.

I turned back into my regular form and looked back at The Queen a bit confused.

"She can use people's pasts against them," She explained.

I nodded as I started to understand and went back to keeping my eye on Hyein.

In no time, almost every single soul that had barged into The Castle was on the ground crying or yelling.

"Impressive," I whispered to myself.

"OHHH, YOU'RE NO FUN!!" We suddenly heard someone yell.

We turned in the direction of the voice and found the last person I'd ever thought I'd see....

Right in front of us.

It was Bobby.

My older brother.

"When I heard you took the throne in our old kingdom, I thought my informants were lying. But here you are, standing a proud Leader and trying to continue the disgusting traditions of these muts!" He smugly strutted around The Princesses.

"Did you really think I'd let you marry another beast like you?" He walked up to grab my jaw.

I immediately snatched his hand off me.

"What do you want? You should be dead," I growled in his face.

Bobby was left behind in The Titan Kingdom with my parents. He has beast genes, but he never got any powers.

Before I was born, he was the one to be treated poorly... but when I was born... that all changed. He was now the favorite.

I was told by The Gryphons that he was killed alongside my parents when my family was overthrown, but it seemed that they were wrong.

"I want my rightful spot on the throne!" Bobby chuckled out.

"See, I thought that taking your little lover her and blackmailing you into giving me the throne was going to work... but I was wrong. I understand estimated your little Princess here," He grossly looked Hyein up and down.

I stepped to him and pulled Hyein behind me.

"Won't you let me have her?" Bobby taunted.

"How did you render my Gorgons unconscious?" I coldly asked.

At the end of the day, I was a monarch and I needed to know just how he was even able get past my security.

"Ever heard of a mirror?" He smugly asked.

I growled the closer he got to my face.

"You really think I'm lesser than you, don't you? Silly little sister, I taught you everything you know!" He began to laugh in my face.

"Step the fuck back before I break your neck," I warned him.

"Murder is not allowed in our kingdom. Have you forgotten?" He taunted.

I took a deep breath and tried to keep calm.

"Beast! What should we do?"

I suddenly heard Haerin's voice in my head.

I had forgotten that we were telepathically connected because of our shape shifting powers.

"Have my head guard take you to my kingdom. You will all be safe there!" I ordered.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Princess Haerin nod and all the girls started to sneak away towards the back of The Castle.

"If it was your kingdom, you wouldn't have been overthrown by the people. Do you really think you could take the crown and none would try to get their claws in you to rip out your heart?" I tried to distract Bobby.

He just scoffed.

"Your dirty little tricks don't work when you have no idea who you're dealing with," I smugly stepped up to his face.

I started to calm down a bit once I heard my jet start to take off.

"Noo! NOOOO!!! BRING THEM BACKK!!!" Bobby started to yell.

"They're the key to my powers! BRING THEM BACKK!!!" He got up in my face.

I pushed him off me and immediately laid a fist on his stupid face.

"You try to touch them again and I will fucking kill you!" I yelled in anger.

"CLEAR THIS FUCKING MESS!!" I ordered my guards.

I turned to look at Philip and he respectfully saluted.

I looked up to find Soobin watching everything unfold from the terrace and sighed out in annoyance.

"EXTRADITE EVERYONE BACK TO THEIR KINGDOMS AND MAKE SURE THEY'RE PUT TO DEATH!" I ordered Philip.

"Yes, Your Highness!" He answered.

I sighed out in frustration and marched back into The Castle to deal with the rest of the mess.
