STEVE SAT IN HIS CAR, DRIVING Robin, who didn't have her driving licence yet, to the pep rally at 9am in the morning.

She put her make up on, rambling on about her new crush, Vickie, who was also in band with her.

"This is about Vickie, you gotta stop pretending to be someone else when you're around her," Steve said as he looked over at his friend.

"You're literally quoting me to me you do realise that, after every lovers squabble between you and Bea, I'm the one that has to calm you down," Robin said.

"Maybe you need fo listen to yourself," Steve said, looking over at Robin as she applied her makeup, "Vickie is not bad, she returned Fast Times paused at 53 minutes 5 seconds. People who like boobies do that Robin,"

She cringed, her face scrunching up, "Ew, gross don't say boobies," She said with disgust.

"Not a big deal. I like boobies, my girlfriend got the prettiest boobies, you like boobies, Vickie likes boobies," he said, pulling up the school.

"Stop talking about your girlfriend boobies," Robin said, cringing as the car stopped and she hoped out.

Robin waved to Bea as she parked her cop car, Dustin smiling at her as he ran to his friends on the other side of the room.Β

Steve rushed over, smiling at his girlfriend in her blue cop outfit as she leant against the car.

"If I would have known you were coming I would have carpooled," he said and she smiled.

"I have to get to work anyway," she said and he pulled her in for a kiss before hearing the kids yelling at them from across the yard.

She flipped Dustin and the rest of the party off before kissing Steve again, "I'll see you tomorrow night yeah, I booked Enzos," he said.

"Deal, I hate that we don't see each other enough anymore," she said, leaning her forehead against his shoulder.

"Same, but hey, soon you'll wish I'll go away, I've got a huge surprise planned for spring break," he said.

They said their goodbyes and she hopped into her car, smiling to herself as she drove off to work.

She parked up, smiling at Calahan and Powell as she walked in, "Hey Flo," she said as she leant against her desk.

"Hey Bea, how's the day going?" She asked, smiling at the young girl.

"Good, good. Got any cases for me today? Has Mrs Watts had another issue with the boiler company?" She joked.

Flo laughed, "No, Powell left some files on your desk though," she explained, smiling as the girl walked away, smiling to herself.

At lunch, Steve and Bea were calling each other on their lunch breaks, "Get off the phone Bea, I need to call a plumber!" Calahan yelled out.

"Don't care Phil, it's a Friday, you know I call my boyfriend on Fridays, piss off!" She yelled out again.

"Sorry Steve, Calahan needs rhe phone but we have a deal. He calls his mum on a Monday, I can call you on a Friday," she said and he laughed over the line.

"You could just come over to the film store," he suggested, leaning against the side as she shooshed Robin.

"I can't come in wearing my cop clothes, it's bad for you business, they don't like me there" she said and Steve began to get another call on the line.

"Hold up Bea, I've got another call, could be work," he said and she nodded before he answered the phone. It was Dustin begging for him to join their D&D campaign.

"No, me and Bea have a date planned, we haven't had a nice date for a while," he explained.

"If you don't come I'll tell her about your grand plan," Dustin said, knowing what Steve was planning to ask his girlfriend.

"Thats blackmail dude, plus I'd never want to hang out with that Eddie freak," Steve said, leaning against that counter.

"You're just sad that I've got an older male friend," Dustin said and Steve sighed, saying goodbye before hanging up on him.

"Sorry, he just wanted me to come to the thing," Steve said when he got back on the line.

"I've gotta go, I think Calahan is gonna beat me soon," Bea said and he laughed, his voice crackling over the line.

"Okay, see you later, I'm picking you up at six for the game right baby?" He asked and she nodded before they said goodbye, hanging up on each other.

"You can call your plumber now Calahan you asshole!" She yelled across the office.

Calahan sighed as he looked at Flo, "Can't believe she's still with that Harrington kid," he said and she smiled.

"Leave her alone. Three years ago he got into a fight for her and the two of them are perfect. I heard from Dustin that he's got a gift for her," she said as the two gossiped.

"I don't care, as long as it stops them from being so gross all the time. If I have to accidentally overhead one more joke about their sex life over the line I might just die," he said and Flo hit him.

"Stop eavesdropping then," she said before getting back to her work.

Calahan looked over at the 20 year old as she sat at her desk. She had a picture of her mum, brother and Steve at her graduation. She may annoy Phil but now that Jim was gone, he promised to look after her.

LATER THAT NIGHT, STEVE PICKED her up and she got changed into a nice jumpsuit before taking her to the game. She didn't really care but she knew how much he loved the Hawkins basketball team and they hadn't made it to the final in a decade so he was exicted.

She smiled at Lucas when she saw him run out and sit on the bench and he smiled back subtly, not wanting to seem uncool.

When their principal announced that Tammy Thompsoon has come back from Nashville to sing the national anthem, both her and Steve laughed.

Robin turned around from her spot in the band and laughed with them when they heard her beginning to sing.

"Told you, muppet," Steve joked and Robin nodded her head, repeating the statement to herself.

Bea nudged Steve when she saw that Robin was talking to Vickie, the couple smiling at one another.

Things had been rough for them lately. She hadn't had much time off of work and it was a lot of stress for her and she really missed hanging out with him.

The game was over fast with Hawkins High scoring the winning goal. She could tell Steve was disappointed but elated that his team had won.

They laughed with each other, walking out of the gym arm in arm, her head on his shoulder.

"You ready for a nice date at Enzos," he said as they reached his car and she froze.

"You booked a table at Enzos? That's expensive Steve," she stated, not wanting him to waste his money on that.

"I thought you'd like it, we haven't had a real date for a while," he explained, a sort of sadness on his eyes.

She sighed, placing her hand on his cheek, "I love you no matter what, I don't need an expensive restaurant to know how you feel about me," Bea explained, pulling him in for a kiss.

Dustin and Mike booed them as they saw the two adults kissing. Bea kept kissing her boyfriend, moving her hand up so she was flipping the teenagers off.Β Β

"Why don't we skip Enzos, your parents are out aren't they," she suggested and his hand gripped her waist.

"I like what you're thinking babe," he said, pushing her up against the car slightly as he pulled her in for another passionate kiss.

She heard the basketball team cheering, one of them wolf-whisteling the two, "Harrington, thanks for coming man," Jason said and Steve rolled his eyes before shaking the boys hand.

"Yeah congrats," he said stiffly, his other hand still in Beas.

"Well, we'll let you get back to uh, whatever you're doing," He said with a smirk before walking off, the group following him.

Bea saw Lucas, smiling at him, "Congrats Lucas," she said and he nodded before following Jason like a lost puppy.

"God I hate him," Steve muttered before turning back to Bea, "Why don't you say we get going, you've got a long night ahead of you,"

She laughed, sitting down in the passenger's seat as he got in the other side, "Aye aye captain,"
