STEVE, BEA AND DUSTIN GOT OUT
and walked to the trunk of the car where Steve pulled out two bats hammered with nails, passing one to Bea.

"You know I'm better with a gun, my hand eye co-ordination is shit,' she said and Steve just smiled at her, ignoring her comment. She led him to the cellar.

"Stay," she said to Dustin and he looked at her annoyed.

"Hey!" He exclaimed as he followed the two closer despite his better judgement.

Steve hovered over the cellar door before he turned to look at Bea for a second before looking back down at the cellar.

She saw he was hesitant as he looked at it. "I don't hear anything,' he said and Bea heard Dustin sigh next to her.

"He's in there," he said and Steve poked the thing with his bat before smacking it. Once again, no sound came from inside.

"Listen Dustin, if this is some sort of Halloween Prank, you're dead," he said, pointing his flashlight in Dustin's face. Then he moved the flashlight so it was pointed in Bea's face, "And you Bear, I you're in on this," he said and she sighed, giving up.

"Its not a prank," Bea said, walking over to the cellar with the key from her pocket and she opened the doors.

Steve leaned over her shoulder, both of them staring into the darkness. Bea could feel her heart pounding, memories from last year all flooding back in a matter of seconds.

Dustin walked over, his flashlight shaking in his hands as he pointed it down the cellar. Steve grabbed it but there was nothing down there. Bea started to walk down, annoyed that Steve didn't believe her.

"I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape," Dustin said as he watched Bea hold tightly onto her baseball bat.

Steve reluctantly followed her, pulling the chain for the light so that the room became illuminated, or at least they were able to see more.

They both stared at the shredded skin that lay on the table and then Bea walked around, her bat tightly in her grasp. She gasped when she saw a hole in the wall, along some kind of tunnel.

"Get down here," yelled Bea which made Dustin gasp but he chased her down the steps.

"Oh shit!" Dustin said as he looked at the tunnels.

"Did a lizard do that?" Bea asked and Steve turned to her.

"I should have believed you, I know,' he said and Bea smiled, knowing that was all she needed. Bea grabbed Steves arm, making him yelp as she checked the time.

"Yeah, I know, I should get home," Steve said and Dustin shook his head.

"The baby Demogorgan could get you, you should stay round ours, mum probably won't be back for a long time," Dustin explained and Steve shrugged his shoulders.

"I guess it won't hurt," he said and Bea smiled.

She set up the guest bedroom that was right next to hers.

"If you need anything, food or drink, just go to the kitchen, you know where the bathroom is," she said and Steve laughed.

"It's gonna be fine Bea," Steve said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

She smiled back at him.

"Yeah, I know, night," Bea said before rushing out and walking into her room. She closed the door, changing into her oversized Grease shirt and lying in her bed. But she couldn't sleep, everything from last year getting in her head.

She succumbed to sleep but nightmares haunted her.

The mess that was last November, the feeling of being trapped in that place for whatever short moment, she could never escape it.

She woke up again, her breathing heavy and she shook it off standing up. Bea opened the door and outside was Steve who had his fist up as if he was about to knock on the door.

"I heard you in your sleep, I wanted to check if you were OK," he said quickly, his cheeks red.

"Its fine," she said, a huge grin on her face. Steve turned around and Bea sighed.

"Could you stay?" She asked and he laughed.

"Deja vu. Of course Bear," He said as he walked in. She moved over, patting the bed next to her and he smiled, sitting down next to her.

They were lying in bed, an awkward silence in the air until Steve noticed Bea tracing the scar on her hand.

"You still have the scar?" He asked and Bea sighed, turning to look at him. She nodded her head, showing it to him and he grabbed her hand gently.

His fingers traced the line and the hairs on Bea's arms stood up, her heart pounding.

After a tired conversation she fell asleep again, her head rested against his chest and Steve laughed, still awake.

His hands ran through her hair gently, careful not to wake her up, until he fell asleep himself.

THE NEXT MORNING, THEY WOKE UP, legs tangled together and Steve's arm wrapped around her waist.

Dustin walked in, banging a spoon on a pan which woke the two up.

"This is not my spare room Steve,' Dustin said and Bea just laughed, getting up and looking at a groggy Steve.

"Morning to you too Henderson," Steve said in a husky voice, rubbing his eyes. "We need to get going, no time for your beauty sleep," Dustin said and Bea laughed.

Steves eyes landed on her in the mirror as she brushed her hair. But his eyes were drawn to the necklace around her neck, he hadn't noticed that last night and it brought a smile to his face.

Later that morning they had formulated a plan.

Steve pulled Two buckets of meat out of his trunk along with gasoline.

"Dustin, do you copy?" Lucas yelled over the supercom and Dustin walked off to have a chat whilst Bea and Steve.

"Meet me, Steve and Bea at the old junkyard," Dustin said and Bea slung Steves backpack over her shoulder as Steve picked up the two buckets of meat.

The three walked along the train tracks towards the old junkyard, small conversations filling the air.

"All right so let me get this straight," Steve said as they walked on the train tracks towards the junkyard.

"You kept something you knew was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl who you just met?" Steve questioned and Bea decided to stay out of this conversation, as close as she was with her little brother, she didn't think he wanted to talk to her about that. "Even if she thought it was cool - which she didn't - I feel like your trying way too hard," Steve explained and Bea scoffed from behind the two boys.

"The key with girls it just, acting like you don't care, it drives them nuts" Steve said and Bea chuckled from behind him.

"Really, OK then what do you do in Steves five steps to a girl,' Bea asked and he turned to look at her, both of them stopping.

"You wait until you feel it," he said, never breaking eye contact with Bea.

"Feel what," she asked and she saw him take a deep breath, mulling over what he was about to say.

"Its like before a storm, you know. You can't see it but you can feel it," Steve explained.

They never broke the eye contact as they watched each other, the tension in the air was so thick at that moment and for some reason both of their heart's were pounding.

"Till you feel the electricity," he said and Bea subconsciously bit her lip, hearing a small sigh from Steve as she did so.

"Oh, like in the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere-" Dustin started to say and Steve cut him off, neither of the teenagers daring to take their eyes off of one another.

"No, like a sexual electricity," Steve said and Bea turned away, her face blushing bright red.

Steve swallowed, his cheeks burning as he cleared his throat and turned to Dustin, all three of them starting to walk along the tracks again.

"You feel that and then you make your move," Steve said and Bea just stood in the back, hating how she felt at thay exact moment, knowing Steve was still in love with Nancy.

"That's when you kiss her," Dustin suggested and Steve laughed.

"Hold on Romeo, sure, some girls like it aggressive, strong, hot and heavy," He explained before taking a deep breath and looking back over at Dustin.

"Others, you got to be slow, stealthy, like a ninja,' he said.

Now it was Dustins time to laugh as he turned to Steve, "Is that why you didn't just kiss Bea?" He asked and both of their cheeks flushed bright red.

Steve chocked on the air and turned to look at him.

"What are you talking about?" Steve croaked out. He was stepping gently on his words, like if he made one wrong move he'd lose her forever.

"I saw that, the electricity, the sexual electricity," Dustin said, raising his eyebrows at Bea and Steve.

Steve turned to look at Bea who just put a fake smile on.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Bea said emotionless and Steve whipped his head around so that he was looking at the trees again.

Tears threatened to spill over his eyes as he looked away. Steve couldn't comprehend what he was feeling, it was different to Nancy. With her, he was always trying to make it this perfect couple and he always put in more effort but with Bea it was easy. It felt perfect despite everything.

If only he'd look back he would see that Bea had wiped a single tear from her cheek, she knew she couldn't make a move and admit what she felt because he would never feel the same, he loved Nancy not her.
