Amity's POV:

Time passed and it's Wednesday, 1st February. It was 5:30 in the morning. The usual time I would wake up. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a bath. After the bath I dried myself and put on jeans and a sweatshirt. I went to the kitchen and ate an apple. Passing the time I just used my phone, read a book then around 6:04 Boscha came out of the room. "Morning Ams," she said all sleepy like. "Morning Boscha," I said taking a bite of my apple. "Your up early, what's the occasion?" she said leaning against the wall. "I have to go to work? Anyways I gotta go now." She just nodded and went to the bathroom.

6:14 am

I arrived at the cafe to see King and Luz sitting down at the table. I entered the cafe with the sound of the bell ringing. "Morning guys," I greeted. "Morning Amity, wanna chat with us?" I took a seat next to Luz and they continued talking, "So you we're saying that this year Bump told you guys to make a cake for The Valentines Dance?" Luz asked. I completely forgotten about Valentines. "Wait when is it?" I asked. "It's on the 14th," she answered. "Yeah, and sadly you guys can't help, but he also explained there's gonna be  something new for this year's Valentines so you might wanna listen to his announcement later, and Bump said he'll be visiting before we open so just get ready." We nodded our heads. Then someone came in but it wasn't opened yet.

We turned to see it was Principal Bump. "Morning Luz, Amity and King. I'm guessing King had told you about my plans?" he said with his hand behind his back. "Yes I did sir," King answered. "Good, now at 9 o'clock stop by the office to help me with something. You can excuse yourself from your teachers," he asked. We nodded our heads and he continued, "Good. After your done, come back and meet me in my office. You see, I heard a lot about you 2 from the other teachers and I must say, I'm impressed. So after you change in your uniforms, come to the office." We nodded our heads and he left as the cafe opened. People started coming in.

7:30 am

"By e King we'll see you later," Luz said. We went to the locker room to change into our uniforms and went straight to the office to meet Bump. "Principal Bump said to enter the office he's waiting for you 2," the secretary said. We knocked on the door and entered. "Please sit down," awe sat down and he took a piece of paper and placed it on the table. "I called you 2 here because you are Hexside's most favored students so Luz I want you to make this announcement because I know you can do speeches with the right energy. Amity I need you to handle these things on the list because your always organized." He handed both us a paper, both were different.

Luz went over to the pa and made an announcement: Good Morning Hexside, I am Luz Noceda and I am here today to make an announcement for you. We are excited to announce that on Tuesday, 14th of February we will be having our annual Valentines Day Dance. Everyone is to wear a proper and formal clothing and to be on your best behavior. This year's theme is a Masquerade Party and this year's dance Principal Bump will be choosing 2 students as King Or Queen of the dance, not on the day of our event but starting today, Principal Bump and our teachers will be selecting the kings or queens of dance from our behavior towards each other. To your friends or to your partner it doesn't matter. Now everyone should get ready for class and be on your best behavior to get elected. Thank you and have a great day.

She ended her speech and everyone was cheering because of the dance. Bump smiled at us. "Thank you Luz, I knew you could do it. Now help Amity get the decorations ready. You can ask the school for the money you need to buy for the decorations. I'm glad to have students like you in my school. Now meet me back in my office by 9 o'clock again. You may head to your perspective classes now." We got up thank him and went out of the office and arrived to class on time.

"What subject to we have at 9?" Luz asked. "Looks like we'll be missing out calculus." I said taking out my Biology book. I kept the paper Bump gave me in a folder so I don't lose it. As I took notes down while the teacher is explaining, Luz was staring at me. I pretend like I didn't see it but she was making me nervous. I looked at her and she was still staring. "Can I help you?" she just smiled and face back to her book.

8:55 am

We were learning History when I saw the time I raised my hand. "Yes Amity?" she asked. "Can me and Luz be excused?" I questioned. "Why?" she asked back. "We have to speak with Principal Bump by 9 o'clock." She nodded her head and I pulled Luz out of her chair and we went to the office. It was exactly 9 when we arrived. We entered the class room to see Bump sitting down on his chair. "Come in and take a seat." We took a seat in the same place earlier.

"Now, I should have told you this earlier but I had a meeting. So I had to excuse you 2 from your class at this time because I have another meeting in a few minutes so let's make this quick. Now I also elected you 2 to help the teachers pick the kings or queens of the dance. You 2 are a watcher between the students so we can see what they do behind the teachers back. I want you to keep note of the student of you suggest and when you finally make your last decision hand it to a teacher and do not tell anyone what this meeting was about. You look at them from the way they wear their uniform, study and most importantly behavior between each other. Understood?" We nodded our heads and he dismissed us from his office.

Lunch

Me and Luz were beside each other the entire time and we talked about who was going to be the kings or queens of prom. She came here a few months ago so I told her about the behavior of every students since I've been here longer than her. We sat down at our table and the others came. "So why did you guys wanna get excused during class?" Boscha smirked. "We were talking with Bump ok?" I knew she would  think of something else. "So what did you guys talk about?" Willow asked. I looked at Luz because what we talked about was classified. "We talked about Amity and how she was gonna decorate the gym for the dance." I sighed in relief of her managing to tell them something. "You know Luz you should stop acting like a couple. You did it for the entire month like we dared you to." Her face was blank while she was eating then she looked at Boscha. "Ok, I'll stop but that doesn't mean I can't talk to Amity as a lover. She's my bestfriend and we can do that if we wanted to," she looked back at her food and conversation eating.

I looked at Boscha and she spoke in a silent voice. Wow that's painful for her to call you a friend. I replied back with I know but if it's the closes I could get to her then it's good enough. Luz looked up and looked at them, "Who you guys gonna ask out for the dance?" she asked. "I'm going with Skara, Gus is the mc for the dance Hunter is going with Willow. How about you guys?" She explained the asked. "Hmm...I'm not sure. I have no one to take." Boscha looked at me then back to Luz. "How bout Amity? She has no one to take." She looked at me then back. "I don't know going as friends?" She looked at me and I looked at her. "Yeah, I'll bring her then. Unless your going to ask your crush out?" she said. "I would ask my crush but I don't know if my crush likes me back," I mumbled.

My eyes grew wide when she said that. "What?" I started panicking. I brought her out of the cafeteria to speak privately. "Look, I was trying to tell you last time but we kept getting interrupted." She laughed at me then I looked at her. "Looks like Ms. Blight has a soft side for someone," she joked. "Yeah, yeah." She placed her arm on my shoulder and we went into the cafeteria and sat down. "Hey did you guys know that Amity has a soft side for a someone?" she asked them. They looked at each other. "Oh my god really? We didn't know. Did you guys know?" Boscha asked the others. "No, we didn't. I wonder who," I mentally face palmed myself. These guys sounded like idiots.

End of class

Finally it's the end of class. I asked the gang if they could help decorate and they agreed. We changed our clothes and went shopping for decorations. We came back from the store after 2 and a half hours of buying decorations. We bought all the basic need for decorations like, streamers, confetti, balloons, lanterns, banner, backdrop and scene setters, ceiling decorations and a lot more. We started planning and sketching on how we wanted to decorate the place.

"Bump said the school is going to prepare the disco ball, food and tables with the chairs but I wonder why he wanted us to do it this year," Luz stated. "Maybe cause everyone got bored with the same dance every year. Just a simple dance floor under the disco ball, balloons on each pillar of the wall, tables in one spot then the DJ on the stage," Boscha replied. Since Luz had a creative mind and I had the organization skills we put them together with everyones ideas and hard work we sketched out the idea on how we were gonna make it. They closed the gym for us to prepare and will reopen on the day of the event. So no one but else could enter the gym.

Since the theme was masquerade we used a suitable colour for it, white, black, deep red, cream, grey, navy blue and emerald green. We made the the backdrop for students to take photo first. We used a dark blue curtain for the background then we hung cardboard stars with gold glitter covering it and a moon. Then we put a spotlight and changed it to a blue colour. We used a grass like carpet for the floor. We made it in long tent for better lighting.

After 4 hours of decorating we were almost done. All that was left was the tables and chairs plus the food. Everyone was exhausted but Luz seemed so energetic. "Alright guys, lefts get some rest we'll continue as soon as the brought the tables so we can fix it. I'll close the place up you guys can leave, I need to re-check everything else." Everyone got up and left. I was fixing some things that was left out and when I was about to leave I bumped into Luz.

"Oof, Luz what are you doing here? I thought you left with the others." She sat down at the bleachers and motioned me to sit next to here. I sat down and she pulled out a latte. "Here, just rest for a bit." I took a sip then she spoke, "I wouldn't leave you here alone. What if someone kidnapped you or did something to you when your on your way up?" I just laughed at her but she was serious. "Sorry, but like who would kidnap me? We're in the school premises and there's security walking around the school so I'll be fine," I stated. "I know but like I wouldn't leave you here still. It's a big school there could be places that we don't know about. What if you get kidnapped and get raped like last time. You were lucky I was searching for you I don't know what I would do if you were gone." I could tell she was really serious but like why? "Hey it's ok your here now right? But why do you wanna protect me so bad?" She looked at me for awhile then looked down. "Your my bestfriend, I'd do anything to protect you just to keep you safe, if it means to jump into fire I would do it." I smiled at her and gave her a hug.

"It's alright let's go back before the others come looking for us," she kissed my fore head and pulled me up. "You know you can stop with the couples thing right?" she shook her head and I was confused why. "I like treating you like a princess. I'll treat you like a child, with respect and I'll always carry you if you're tired. Your bestfriend and my sweet potato." I just smiled at her then she carried me on her back. "Let's go, you need a bath." She carried me out and locked up the gym. "Wait aren't we supposed to work earlier?" I asked remembering that it was Wednesday. "King said it was alright because he already knew our situation." I hummed in response and we made it to our dorm complex.

We went in the elevator and it was silent for a minute then she spoke. "Hey Amity, about your crush...what is he like?" I wanted to tell her but I didn't want to say it yet. "She's cool, funny, caring." We arrived at our floor and we got out. She put me down and pinned me against the wall. "If he ever hurts you I'll break every bone in his body but he doesn't sound like the type to do that. I care about you and I don't want anyone to hurt you." I smiled at her then I heard the sound of a door opening. I turned to the side to see Hunter and Willow walking out of my dorm laughing. They turned to us and Hunter started bursting. "What are you guys doing? Are you making out?" He mocked. The others rushed out to see us like that then Boscha took a picture.

"Hunter are you stupid? If I was making out I'd do it somewhere private and not in the hallways of dorm," Luz explained. "Then what were you doing?" Gus chuckled. "I was only telling her something that doesn't concern you so if you keep interrupting our conversation I will shove a stick up your asses." They stopped laughing and went back in. I just started giggling at their reaction. "You know your cute when you laugh. How oblivious is she not to see how special you are." Yeah definitely isn't you. "Y'know what I'm bring you to my dorm. It's already 9 and we have school tomorrow."

I followed her into her dorm and took a bath. I went out and she lent me her clothes. It was already 9:23 so I wanted to sleep. I came out of the room after I finished putting on the clothes then I smelled something from the kitchen. I went to check what it was and I saw Luz making spaghetti. "Making spaghetti Luz?" she turned to see me, "Yeah I'll making them for us to eat. It's been a long day." I sat at the kitchen table and look through my phone.

"Alright dinner is served." She placed 2 plates on the table."What about the others?" I asked. "Well I heard they had pizza while we were busy so I made spaghetti for us." She handed me a fork and we started eating. While we were eating, I saw Luz got a message from Boscha. She picked it up and answered it. "What's that?" She typed something then put it down. "It's just Boscha, she asked if we wanted her to order pizza for us but I told her we-" the door opened and she came in. "Why didn't you tell us you guys were eating spaghetti." The others came in and I saw Gus just smiling at me. Boscha's expression changed to a smirk. "Oh I see what's happening, sorry to bother you guys. C'mon let's go back." They left the room and we were left alone again.

"God why are they so annoying," I mumbled.

While were eating Luz bot another text but from Gus this time. She looked at it but left it and continued eating. Since it was quiet I could give Luz another hint. "Hey Luz, do you think my crush will like me back?" I asked. She looked at me, "Of course he or she will, who wouldn't like you?" I smiled back at her. "Speaking of you being straight, so is spaghetti until it gets hot and wet." I started blushing and I was frozen. my eyes were wide and she started laughing.

"About that, I'm not actually straight," I mumbled. "Oh my, I guess that statement made you and actual spaghetti. You might wanna take another bath after this." She smirked. "Luz! What the fuck is wrong with you" I yelled in embarrassment. "I'm kidding but did that line really made you though? Because you were straight earlier." She mumbled. "No, ew, what the fuck? I became lesbian for a few months now, I fell for a girl. I was trying to tell you this last time but we keep getting interrupted by the others." She looked up then said, "Hmm...I wonder who turned you into one. You must have found out when you-" she stopped mid sentence when I yelled, "Luz!" She started laughing at me but she was right. She was the reason I turned into a lesbian. Not the last part though.

After dinner we washed the dishes and I went into the room. The others didn't come back so they probably slept over at my dorm. I lied in bed when Luz joined me. We talk for awhile and then fell asleep.
