When Marilee (Mari) Jones was thirteen, she was sent to the famous Camp Half-Blood. When she arrived she was a sight to be seen. Beautiful, strong and intelligent. She had a gift for archery and everyone thought she was destined to be an Apollo child. But one night at the camp's campfire, a symbol was placed over her head. It was Artemis's. At that moment a lot of things fell into place. Like how she lacked skills in healing and music, but thrived in tracking and nature related things. Questions arose of what to do with her, and how she became the daughter of the forever maiden. Feeling alone and scared, Mari vanished from the camp without a trace. Three years later, and now Alexander (Alex) Smith comes into the picture. As a sixteen year-old demigod, he was a little late in coming to camp. He makes friends Rachel and Saxton, while also discovering that one of the 'big three' is his father. When Alex is two weeks into his camp life, suddenly a quest is put forth.
