The Quickhall Mercenary Association has been connecting clients with hired hitmen and acquisitors for almost a century, but they haven't had a job this big since... well, ever. Enina is living day by day, working with what little money she gets from jobs and struggling to keep up with the rent for her apartment. Ever since the food poisoning fiasco that lost her a job cooking for one of the best restaurants in the Nation of Eriadrin, life's been tough. But when she's approached by a fairy with a proposition, all that could change - but can she trust him? What about all she'd be risking? She takes the job, hoping she might find someone from her past, but finds someone else instead - someone she'd been all too eager to forget. Dusty's life has been anything but idealistic ever since he left his hometown in the forest, following nothing but his dreams of exploring the world. Sure, the first year was alright, but when the library he was working for closed down and he set out in pursuit of a questionable job offer, things took a turn for the worse. Now that he's finally escaped the darkest year of his life, Dusty's been taking jobs and trying to save up the money to go visit his family. Unfortunately, money's been running a little short recently. Until he gets offered the biggest job the Association's seen in decades - that is, if he can find a partner to do it with.

The mysteriously beheaded "Beast" and his wife, the so-called "Beauty," are said to have died in the very house, and Elsish rebels seeking refuge are starting to feel unsafe.Ghost sightings put rebellion members on edge, and the arrival of a foreign boy boy who seems to have mysterious ties with the strange house makes Ashbi wonder if there are things she needs to hide from more sinister than the threat of being captured by racist officials.Cover designed on Canva
Footprints
Moving into a nice house in a newly developed suburban neighborhood sounds nice, but when Hazel and her mom move into her mom's new boyfriend's townhome, Hazel is devastated. The last thing she wanted to do was leave their big house out in the country, one of her only reminders of her dad. But when he died and left them without a way to earn money, things went downhill fast. Hazel's awkward, introverted personality is a stark contrast to her new friends in Hedgefair, Iowa, a small, newly developed, neighborhood at the edge of the Des Moines. Zoey and Connor are both outgoing and social, with striking, single family homes they live in with their parents. However, when a set of strange footprints starts appearing on both of their properties, Hazel is suddenly thrust into the middle of a mystery crazier than she ever thought a summer in the suburbs could be. When the trio discovers a plot to kidnap one of them for ransom, they make sure to find everything they can about the mysterious kidnapper leaving footprints around the neighborhood. But waking up in a field in the middle of nowhere with no knowledge of how they got there or who brought them there was not part of the plan. This is my entry to the Wattpad 2020 Valentine's contest.Crystal is a member of the Jamestown settlement in 1610. She sneaks out of the fort one day and walks into the woods nearby, where she meets a Native American boy she calls Jay. Jay is able to speak to her using English he learned from trading with English settlers. The story is about how they try to show Crystal's parents that not all Natives are bad.
