A desperate man vows to avenge his dead wife and children after an immense inferno sent from another dimension reduces most of the Earth to charred ruins. When his wounds heal, he volunteers to join a military program which has refitted some of the invaders' teleportation equipment to use as a weapon. Left with nothing but his rage, the man readies himself to test the dangerous recovered tech, knowing failure will mean certain death.
