Once Fezco left Amelia went to sleep for school the next day. Everything was fine. She got up and got ready for school just like any other day.

She didn't think about the problems she had to face at school; she tried to believe everything was just fine.

Amelia headed to school as regular to put her bag in her locker and head to class but before she did she saw maddy walking down the hall, without her usual clothing, which Amelia knew why but she knew better than to ask.

Amelia wanted to do something she knew Nate shouldn't have gotten away with what he did but it was maddys job to speak up she couldn't force her which only broke Amelia even more to see her like this.

"Maddy..." Amelia approached her hesitantly knowing maddy was probably still mad at her but was surprised when maddy hugged her immediately.

"You have no fucking idea how sorry I am for being a bitch to you" maddy said and pushed away from the hug.

Maddy needed Amelia more than anything. Honestly I'm surprised she made it a whole day without her after what happened.

"It's okay I forgive you. You're okay right?" Amelia sat her hand down on hers and maddy just nodded.

Maddy knew Amelia knew what Nate did and why she was wearing the clothes she was wearing.

But she also knew she wasn't about to pressure her into telling everyone all she was going to do was be there for her which was all she needed.

"I'll walk you to class" Amelia offered and wrapped her arm around her walking down the hall towards her class.

Everything went smooth until Amelia was on her way to third period and got pulled into a janitor's closet. She was confused and wanted to scream but was stopped by Nate putting his hand over her mouth.

Nate knew Amelia would be a threat, she saw what he did and no matter what maddy decided Amelia was always going to have that leverage over him. He had tried to do something last night with Fezco but clearly failed since Amelia and him were still together.

"What the fuck nate?!" Amelia exclaimed.

"Lower your voice!" Nate whispered shouted at her. "Listen to me amy I know you saw what I did to maddy just know your crazy bitch of a cousin deserved it for putting up an act in front of everyone embarrassing my family"

"That means you can put your hands on her?! You're sick" Amelia talked back knowing what he was trying to do. "I'm not saying anything nate but I will if I have to so maybe you should be the one worrying not me"

"No you won't!" Nate gripped onto her arms pushing her into the wall. He kept his arms gripped onto her arm making her wince in pain. "I know about you and that fucking drug dealer Amy. I know your going to keep it a secret from everyone but I don't mind making it public"

"Whole town knows I'm dating the local drug dealer, so what!" Amelia tried to maintain her act, making Nate even more mad.

He let go of her arms and gripped her wrist even harder pushing her on the wall again. Amelia felt like her veins were going to rupture from how hard he was gripping onto her arms.

"I bet you won't like when your dad finds out. What do you think would happen then? His worker taking advantage of his under age daughter? How long do you think Fez will make it? You know what your dad does to people; he makes them disappear. I bet he won't mind getting rid of someone who's taking advantage of her daughter...'' Nate grinned as he watched how Amelia looked at him in fear with tears forming in her eyes.

"You are fucking sick!" Amelia spat causing him to grip onto her wrist even tighter if that was possible making Amelia's tears drop onto her face.

"Watch what you tell to people Amy because I have no problem letting your dad know who you are dating" nate leaned in to Amelia watching how she took breaths trying to calm her tears down. "Now before you walk out of here you will dry your tears then you will go to the bathroom and fix your make up okay?" Nate ordered waiting for a response when he didn't he dug his nails into her skin.

"Okay okay I won't say anything!" Amelia winced in pain again and Nate let go. Amelia brought her hands up to her face, wiping her tears away and taking deep breaths to calm down.

Before she walked out she turned to see Nate who was leaning on the wall. "I fucking hate you so much"

Amelia walked out the janitor's closet and headed into the bathroom taking her things out to fix her makeup. You couldn't really tell she was crying but she definitely needed to fix some things.

She hated that nate used Fezco to threaten her.

She knew that if her dad found out nate threatened her and hurt her he would be more mad at nate than fez. But nate didn't know that. Amelia didn't want to tell nobody what just happened.

She was scared of Nate but not because of the fact that he knew about Fezco and her but because Maddy would go back to him no matter what and she was worried what her cousin would end up with.

When she was done she walked into class and sat next to Lexi as usual.

Lexi smiled and looked over to the board not noticing the red marks on her skin that Amelia was trying her best to hide hoping they would go away.

Then Amelia got called down to the office. She was confused as to why but figured when she saw maddy sitting down crying. Maddy looked up to see her cousin who had a sad face looking at her.

Maddy knew Amelia hated the fact she was with Nate and she understood.

She hated that she was letting Amelia down but she just didn't know what to do. The love she had for Nate was just too much.

Amelia gave Maddy a slight nod before entering the principal's office letting her know she wasn't going to say anything. Amelia walked in and sat down as principal Hayes did the same.

"Amelia, you're Madeleine's cousin, correct?" He asked and Amelia nodded in response. "Were you with her on the day of the carnival?"

"Yes for a while then I left to be with other friends" Amelia replied.

"And did you know who she was with?"

"I saw her with Cassie but after that I didn't see her until she left the carnival"

"How did she look when she left?"

"Normal like she always does"

"Were you aware Nate and her were fighting?"

"No she would've told me she always does" Amelia said trying to sound convincing.

"So, what you're telling me is you didn't see her at the carnival between your arrival and her leaving?"

"Yes"

"Then that's all you're dismissed" principal hayes, got up from his seat and walked Amelia out. When he did, Amelia saw the Jacobs walking in the room. Amelia sent a glare to all of them wanting to just go on and say how Nate just threatened her but she knew that would just make it worse.

Amelia walked to lunch and sat with Jules and rue since everyone else was being questioned. Amelia sat awkwardly, not even listening to their conversation; she just sat and thought about everything going on.

She hated it.

She wanted to go home and cry of how frustrated she was that she didn't have the power to do anything.

She pulled her phone out knowing that if there was someone in the world that could comfort her right now it was fez.

Hi

Hey baby what's up.

Just having a really shitty day

What's wrong? Is it about maddy?

We're cool, I just don't think she's fine. I don't know what to do.

You want me to come over later?

Amelia sat her phone down on the table and looked up to see Jules and rue.

"Are you okay?" Jules asked, noticing the look on Amelia's face.

"Worried about maddy" she replied and Jules nodded understanding.

"Amelia, can I apologize to you about the other day?" Rue asked Amelia.

"It's fine I know you weren't you plus we're past it I forgive you and I'm happy you're sober so that's all that matters" Amelia reassured to her.

Honestly I regret not being close to Amelia anymore. I loved her so much just like any other person would.

I'm happy she forgave me but I needed to do better to get our friendship back. But apologizing was the first step.

"So you and fez?" Rue asked just as she received a text from him which made Amelia smile at her screen which caused rue to look down at the screen as well and smile. "I'm happy for you two"

"Thank you"

After school Amelia headed home.

She ate and cleaned her room up which was useless. She walked into her bathroom and took a shower once she got out she looked down to see the marks of her arms that would become huge noticeable bruises.

She wanted to cry but not for her but for maddy. If she felt like this she could only imagine how bad it must be for maddy.

Which it was, maddy spent the whole day at the police station giving statements and letting them take evidence for the charges her mom decided to file.

Amelia was worried about maddy and kept blowing up her phone.

Eventually she headed downstairs to make some food which was when fez arrived. She let him in and sat back down on the table to finish her food without saying anything.

Fez knew she didn't want to talk. Her mood was down which was out of character for her.

He just knew having him there helped her.

When she was done she put her dishes away and walked to the living room to lay on the couch with him.

They watched the vampire diaries which was what Amelia watched when she felt sad and had a terrible day.

"You okay baby?" He asked, holding onto her on the couch.

"I'm okay," she replied in a soft voice.

"You don't want to talk about it?"

"No"

Fez just nodded and continued to watch the show. It wasn't until later both of them were alarmed by the doorbell that kept ringing uncontrollably. Amelia got up immediately but fez stopped her.

"Let me go open it, stay here" fez said trying to make sure it wasn't nobody bad when he opened the door he saw maddy standing there with her oversized sweater that was drenched in water.

She was crying uncontrollably which made her not even question fez. "Maddy? You alright?" Fez let maddy in and shut the door.

"Where is she?" Maddy sobbed then watched as Amelia rushed to her.

"Maddy, what's wrong?"

"My mom is being a fucking bitch and they had ma do all this stuff!" Maddy sobbed as Amelia took her into her hands.

"It's okay you're okay with me. You can stay here" Amelia comforted her in her arms and looked up to see fez who was watching the both of them.

He had no idea what was going on but looking at the state maddy was it must be bad.

Amelia disconnected from her and took her drenched coat off her. "I'll go wash this, go to my room and wait for me in the bathroom okay?"

Maddy nodded and walked past Fez up to the stairs. Fez saw the bruising on her neck making him worried but decided not to ask anything until Maddy was gone.

Amelia walked into the laundry room and put the coat in. She didn't start the washer since she had to get the clothes Maddy was wearing too.

Before she headed upstairs she leaned on the washer taking a deep breath. Fez sat his hand on hers not knowing what to do.

"I want to help you but you need to help me out here" fez said in a low tone.

"The night of the carnival Nate hurt her because she disrespected his mom or something I don't know. They took all of us into questioning today. I didn't say anything but it wasn't hard to figure out that it was him. My aunt pressed charges. She was there all afternoon and knowing my aunt she was probably shitting her about it" Amelia explained. Fezco brought her into a hug, rubbing her back.

"Go up there and be there for her okay I can see you another day"

Amelia nodded and disconnected from him. He saw the few tears dropping from her eyes which she quickly wiped away trying to keep it together. He knew what she was doing. She was trying to stay strong for maddy.

"You love her don't you?"

"You have no idea.." Amelia shed a few more tears and let a couple of sobs out while fez just held onto her. "I have to go"

"Okay text me to make sure both of you are fine and Amy I love you okay? Text me if you two need anything"

Amelia nodded getting off the washer. "I love you too"

Both of them walked out the laundry room to the entrance.

Before fez walked out he gave her a kiss on her forehead and walked out.

She closed the door locking in and fez made sure from the outside that it was locked.

Then Amelia headed upstairs to see maddy sitting down at the edge of the bathtub crying. Amelia sat next to her and wrapped her arm around her allowing her to cry all she wanted then she got up and turned the water on.

"Come on, you need to shower before you get sick" Amelia pulled Maddy up from the bathtub to stand up so she could undress.

Amelia made sure the water was warm and let maddy get in. She left the door open and went to get maddy some clothes and walked back into the bathroom while maddy showered.

Once she was done Amelia handed her a towel so she could dry herself off.

If it was for maddy she would've stayed like she was and would've probably catched a cold since she had no motivation to do anything.

Once she was dried and dressed she sat down on the toilet while Amelia brushed her hair out and put some eye cream on her so her eyes wouldn't look too puffy the next morning which was impossible but it was something.

Then Amelia took Maddy to her bed and tucked her in and sat next to her.

"You need anything?" Amelia asked her and Maddy nodded.

"No thank you," Maddy replied.

"You can stay as long as you want and on the weekend when we go to see grandpa you can come too for his birthday to get your mind off stuff." Amelia suggested and saw maddys blank face. "I love you okay don't forget it I'm always going to be here"

"I honestly don't know what I would ever do without you"

Amelia didn't know what it would be of all this. Nate's case, maddys mental health, nate threatening her.

She knew she couldn't keep him threatening her to herself.

Someone was going to see the bruises sooner or later. Her parents were going to get home and see maddy bruised up too.

She had no idea how to cover it up but she knew that she had to come clean to her mom about everything.

She thought she had time to think it would and plan it out to know what to say and what not to say.

She didn't have to say Fezco spent the night over at her house because no one else knew or at least she thought. She had forgotten her house was filled with cameras on the outside.

Guessing for her bad luck her mom had already seen or worse her dad which didn't give her an advantage to lie for her own benefit.

It didn't take much imagination to figure out Amelia and Fez were serious which worried Amelia.

She no longer had to worry about Nate saying something because she knew she had to snitch on herself and she was afraid of what the consequences would be.

She wasn't ready to let fez go.

He was the best thing in her life right now and she needed him just like maddy needed her. She was there for maddy and Fez was there for Amelia.

It just somehow worked and she was happy it did or else she would have no one in this situation and she wasn't sure she would've gotten through it.

She just hoped that her parents accepted her relationship and thought about how happy it made her.

She wished they would let her be happy just like they always did but we all knew this was different. It wasn't her thing, a brand new purse or shoes, it was a relationship that could mess up her life.
