Alejandro had always taken Alex under his wing; he knew his brother would always be hard on Alex because that's just how hard their father was with them.

Maybe that didn't happen with alejandro because he had Amelia and well you know when the tuff boy has a girl he has a soft spot for her but still I don't think alejandro would be a mean father if he had a boy.

At Least not as bad as Alex dad.

Now he was strict and he asked for way too much from Alex.

I won't lie Alex tested him way too much but anyways.

Both Alejandro and his brother had Amelia and Alex very young. The only difference was Alex was planned and Amelia wasn't but it still turned out good for them even if they took different paths.

Amelia's dad decided to not be involved with their world anymore so he wouldn't put Amelia and her mom in danger.

Alex's dad well everyone knew as soon as their dad died he was going to take the business.

I really feel like you guys do not give a fuck about this so I'll get to the point.

Alex was in big trouble.

First he hadn't been attending any of his classes. He also hadn't done anything his dad had asked of him or even communicated with him at all.

The only way they even got him to go back was his mom.

So when he arrived there he noticed how many problems there were like Mouse being dead which was now being pointed to them which was really bad.

Anyone who hated their family this was the opportunity to take them down. And Alex felt like it was his fault.

Amelia and the rest didn't know how serious it was just like Alex who had been stuck in their world too but now he knew how bad stuff was which was causing all of them to meet together including alejandro.

Now I know I said he didn't want to be involved but they all had a rule.

Nobody messed with the family and if they did everyone had to make sure nothing went wrong.

But that rule just stirred up more drama with everyone else's lives.

It almost broke some of their marriages.

It was in the process of messing up Alex's relationship with Lexi and let's not get started with Fezco and Amelia.

If they knew it was Ash who did it and Fezco and Alex were hiding it...let's just say it was over for them.

Amelia was currently sitting down at the table with Lexi and Fezco talking about her play.

Lexi was second guessing if she should still put on her play or not after everything went down with Cassie and nate.

Right now they were free to speak of whatever since maddy wasn't around. They didn't want to be insensitive about it either.

"But like what if Cassie gets really mad?" Lexi asked them while she looked over the script to them.

"From what you showed us it's a fair playing field to be honest it's not like she didn't do anything bad..." Amelia gave her opinion while she shared a basket of fries with Fezco.

"But there's other parts of it that might be bad," she continued.

"If you think they're that bad just cut them off I don't think you should just shut the whole thing down" Amelia told her and Fezco pointed to her agreeing as well.

"Just because a few folks will get they feelings hurt a bit don't mean you need to shut the whole thing down, when it's  something you want to do for yourself" Fezco commented. "I thought Alex was helping you with this shit he the one with all the college degrees and shit"

Amelia immediately looked over to him, sending him a warning look. Lexi just sighed and went back to focusing on her screen.

Fezco looked at the girl with a confused look not knowing why she was all defensive about it. Amelia just rolled her eyes and looked back at Lexi.

"He's supposed to get here today..." Amelia mentioned to Lexi.

"He didn't even bother to tell me that so..." Lexi just shrugged off her comment and began to type.

"His ass just being dumb don't think too much about it" Fezco tried to help out but Amelia just sent him another look.

Suddenly Amelia's mom entered the room with a crying aurora. Her mom looked stressed as if she had gotten terrible news and well aurora teething didn't help either.

"Amy you're dad is almost here..." she mentioned and looked directly to Lexi who knew if Alejandro was almost there that meant Alex too.

"I have to go..." Lexi closed her laptop and grabbed her stuff. "Thank you guys I'll see you tomorrow amy"

"Bye lex" Amelia got up to walk the girl out who was saying goodbye to Mrs Gonzales.

When she was done Amelia led the girl out but at the door was met with Alex and Alejandro about to open the door.

Amelia widened her eyes and just stepped aside letting her dad in.

Alex stood at the door with the same face her dad wore as well. But it changed when his eyes fell on Lexi.

He knew he had been a complete dick to not even talk to her the whole time he was gone but he just didn't have the time to with the whole problem they had going on. Which is why he didn't even bother to say hi to her. He knew she was upset.

He was wrong for it though he should've begun to make up for it but he took the easy way out: avoid her just like he always avoided the things around him he couldn't fix until they were too big to ignore.

Amelia gave Alex a glare once he entered the house without even acknowledging the girl.

Lexi just took it as a sign to walk out and said bye to Amelia who closed the door and remained her glare towards Alex.

"Fez do you mind stepping out for a sec? I have something to talk about and it's better if you're not involved '' Alejandro entered the dining room seeing Fezco there who stood up nodding.

"Yeah it's cool you can always tell me if you need something though" Fezco walked towards Amelia who was looking at her dad with a confused face.

"We're good fez but thank you" Alejandro took a seat in his chair as well as Anna and Alex.

Fez wrapped his arm around Amelia's waist and leaned down to kiss her on the cheek.

"I'll be outside in the car if you need me okay?" Fezco told her and she nodded.

She walked towards the table while Fezco walked out the door.

Now this shit is intense. It's like the royal family

But I'll shut up so we can all listen to the tea.

Once everyone was seated Amelia looked over to Alex trying to figure out what was wrong.

But she couldn't Alex looked like he did once before emotionless it's like the wall he had up was back hiding his emotions from everything.

"I know you know about Mouse and all that stuff. They still haven't figured out who did it but everyone is looking for the body and anything that can trace back to it..." Alejandro began specifically directing himself towards Amelia.

"Okay and what does that have to do with us we don't even associate with them they made it clear" Amelia sassed to him not liking the way he was only directing himself towards her.

Once Amelia said that she looked back to Alex thinking that the reason her dad was speaking to her was because Alex had told him everything.

"We tried not to involve Amelia but with the history of problems with the lady Mouse worked for it was easy for them to point the blame on us specially Alex since he got here about the time everyone found out about Mouse" alejandro revealed which caused the girl to widen her eyes.

"Wait so...what does that mean?" Amelia asked.

"They don't have enough evidence to say it was us but if people that don't like us start finding this out it will be bad they'll have no problem blaming us" he explained to her.

"But why?"

"Because there's a lot of people that want us gone again I've been keeping people in check and they don't like that"

"So what's going to happen? This is you telling me we're leaving again?" Amelia crossed her arms not liking the way the conversation was going.

"If we leave that will just make it more suspicious look Amy this hasn't gotten that bad i'm just telling you to be careful out there if they want to get to us they'll do anything they can including hurting you so all I'm saying is be careful"

Amelia just nodded trying to be understanding about the situation.

Amelia knew she was in no place to complain but if she didn't she knew that meant Alejandro would know she knew something. Which she was close to saying because she knew it would be easy for everyone to let Alex take the blame and she didn't want that.

"What about him?" Amelia gestured to Alex who finally looked up.

"He needs to continue just doing what he does if we try to hide that will just make us look bad so just keep doing what you're doing we're going to figure it out I'm just warning you because I don't want anything to happen to you or fez"

Amelia nodded and looked to her mom who sent her a frown knowing it was hard on them.

If it were up to Amelia's mom she would take all of them and go back to where they lived but she knew her husband was right if they did anything to look guilty they were screwed.

"So how are you going to fix that?" Amelia asked.

"Don't worry about it..."

"Find the person who actually did it before they blame it on us" Alex exclaimed, interrupting Alejandro looking directly at Amelia.

Amelia knew she had to make a choice. She knew everything could be fixed if she told her dad it was Ashtray was the one that did it and could find a way to cover it up but if the news made it all the way to her uncle and grandpa they had no problem turning them in.

Amelia knew Alex was directing himself towards her. The only reason he was maintaining quiet was because of her.

Yes Alex wanted to protect Fezco he was his friend but everyone knew he put family first and right now he was putting Amelia in consideration first.

"I'm going to say bye to fez and I'll come back" Amelia got up from the table and her parents nodded but Alex glare was still set on Amelia who just ignored it but she knew she had to do something.

Outside Amelia headed to Fezco's car knowing he was still outside waiting for her. She got in and he was already looking over to her waiting for her to explain what happened.

Amelia sighed and closed the door looking down. Fezco grabbed her hand linking them together.

"What happened? Is everything good?" He asked and Amelia just nodded.

"No...everything is falling apart and Alex is mad at me" she replied leaning back on the seat.

"Why? What happened in there?" He turned towards her leaning on the seat as well.

"I'm guessing my uncle had a lot to say to him and blamed everything on him about how we're getting blamed about Mouse" Amelia explained to him.

"Wait, who?"

"They found it easy to blame it on Alex since he just got back here they'll just do anything to make us look bad they've been waiting for an opportunity and here it is" Amelia said to him still holding his hand.

She looked down to it watching how he held her hand. Fezco's eyes were on her the whole time she talked seeing how frustrated the girl was.

He felt bad that the only thing that was stopping her from helping her family was him.

"And what they gon do?" He asked while he messed with Amelia's nails.

"My dad said they would figure out like he always does but Alex...he wants to tell them the truth.." Amelia looked up to Fezco watching how his look dropped. "He didn't say anything yet but he wants to and he basically warned me"

"You really think he'd do that?" He asked.

"Even if he didn't, Fez..." Amelia sighed, stopping herself but Fezco knew what she meant.

"You still want to tell them? That's what you came out here to tell me? That you telling them the truth?" Fezco raised his voice and let go of her hand.

"I don't want to but they left us without a choice! If they find a way to blame it on us things are going to be bad!"

"It's fine amy I'll see what I'll do just help your family out" he said in a serious tone turning away from her.

"I'm not just going to back stab you like that, I'm telling you so you'll know..."

"Nah any that's exactly what you're doing. You're saying as long as you and all them are good it's fuck the rest" Fezco looked over to her while she just scoffed.

"Really?! That's what you're going to do, call me selfish?! Fez I love you and trust me I want to help you but I can't just turn away from them either so if what you're doing right now is making me choose between you or them..." Amelia paused and took a deep breath trying to calm down.

"I'm not making you do that I'm just..."

"I know you're going to do what's best for you and your family just like I will, we're no worse than each other," she said, crossing her arms and looking out the window.

"We are family" he stated, taking her hand again. "We just got to find a way to figure this whole thing out together"

Amelia nodded, taking his arm into her hold. "I promise I'll try and hold Alex off as much as possible until you find a way to make it seem like it was someone else"

"Nah I don't want you lying to your fam like that no more I'm not making you do that for me" he interrupted her.

"But we can't tell them, Fez, what if the wrong person finds out?!"

"Then it is what it is, baby" he said in a soft tone, setting his hand on her face.

"No my dad will find a way he's not letting you go down either" Amelia nodded not wanting to accept the fact they were a lost cause.

"I did this shit Amy I need to accept the shit that comes with it too..."

"Then what would happen to you? And ash?" Amelia had tears building in her eyes thinking of what would happen to them.

"I don't know baby but we got to get the idea that there's gonna be major consequences to this..." he told her watching how a single tear dropped from her eye and he wiped it off immediately.

"I don't want you to leave though" she said which made Fezco frown.

All he did was bring her into a hug.

He knew he couldn't promise her that he wouldn't leave because even if Amelia was in denial both of them knew the shit they were in was not going to be pretty and something really bad was going to happen.

He buried his head into her neck holding her tightly then let go to give her a kiss.

"I love you okay and the only shit I can promise you right now is ima try and fix this but I can't promise you nothing else okay" he told her while he rested his forehead on hers still holding onto her face.

Amelia nodded, holding his wrist and leaned in for another kiss. "I love you"

"I love you more" he replied and gave her one more kiss. "I'll call you when I get home"

Amelia nodded and let go, opening the door and getting out of the car. Fezco waited until she got back in for him to drive off.

Back inside Alex was sitting at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Amelia to get back in.

Once she saw him sitting there she rolled her eyes and tried to walk past him but he immediately got up blocking her path.

"Let me go!" She ordered trying to get past him but he kept moving, holding her back. "I don't want to talk to you Alex, leave me alone!"

"We need to talk, Amy just hear me out for one sec" Alex pleaded, holding her back.

"What do you want to tell me? 'Oh, Amy it benefits me so I'm just going to leave my friend behind as long as I can keep my dad happy. Turning Fezco in will really earn me some points'" Amelia mocked looking at him with a face of disgust.

"Now you're just being a bitch about it because he's your boyfriend but remember Amelia I'm your family!" Alex exclaimed.

"And he is your friend Alex!" Amelia shouted back and Alex kept looking back making sure her parents door was still closed. "But you don't care do you?! You say you're doing it for the sake of us but you don't care! All you care about is yourself! That's why you haven't even texted Lexi"

"She has nothing to do with this, Amelia! I was busy trying to figure this shit out!"

"You're so fucking full of yourself..." she scoffed. "That right there is what I'm talking about, too worried about yourself to even text back and now you're betraying your friend! Yes I love Fezco and I want to protect him but I also want to help you because I'm not selfish like you!"

"I want to help him too but there's nothing I can do, Amy!" Alex shouted at her watching how she finally fought her way past him.

"Then leave it alone Alex! Don't do anything just like you always do! I'll try and figure it out!" Amelia kept going up the stairs.

"What the fuck can you do?!" Alex questioned making her stop and turn around.

"I don't know but at least I'm not leaving him behind just like you are!" Amelia accused but before Alex could defend himself a door opened.

Both of them paused watching her mom walking out the room shutting the door.

"What's going on you guys are going to wake up aurora" she headed towards Amelia who just looked down to Alex but could barely see through the tears that was blurring her vision.

"Where's my dad?" Amelia asked, trying to keep it together.

"He's in the shower why what happened?" She asked looking down to Alex who had turned around.

Amelia knew she had to tell them and it was better to do it sooner rather than later. She sighed and sat down on the step letting her tears fall.

Her mom immediately sat next to her, bringing her into her hold.

"What did he say? What happened?" Mrs Gonzales asked, holding the girl.

Alex kept his mouth quiet; he was leaving it up to Amelia to tell them or not. The words of Amelia telling him he was a traitor was spinning through his head.

"It was Ashtray..."Amelia managed to get out. "Ashtray was the one that killed Mouse"

"What?" Her mom let go of her.

"He killed him, we thought it would be okay but..." amelia paused looking at the look he'd mom was giving her. "I couldn't say anything mom what if something happened to them? I couldn't..."

"Hey it's okay" she brought Amelia back into her hold. "It's going to be okay but we have to tell your dad amy we're not going to be able to help if we keep quiet"

"I know..." Amelia took a deep breath in.

"So go calm down, I'll help you to tell him and we'll figure this out okay?" Her mom proposed and Amelia nodded, getting out her hold. "I'll get you when he's out"

Amelia just walked back into her room and took her phone out.

Amelia sighed and set her phone down on her bed while she sat down. She then heard someone knock on her door which caused her to look into that direction watching Alex in.

"Amy I just wanted to say sorry I was being a dick..." Alex began to walk towards her and Amelia just frowned.

"It's okay it's your nature" she joked and he scoffed sitting next to her.

"I mean it Amy I'm sorry that shit wasn't fair of me at all I know you love him but..." Alex sighed and turned to her. "My dad said some pretty messed up shit to me he said if I was the reason the family fell apart i would never be able to associate with anyone ever again. Basically they would shun me"

"He can't do that at least not with us you'll always have a place here I know you want him to recognize you but he won't he's kinda like you he only cares about himself and trying to earn his dad's approval" Amelia mocked him and Alex just shook his head and wrapped his arm around her.

"I love you kid even if you're a bitch sometimes"

"Oh you really had to ruin it?" Amelia rolled her eyes but hugged him back.

She hated that she was stuck in between Fezco and her family.

They were probably the most important things she had and it felt like she was being forced to choose one.

She just wanted to live in a world where she could choose both.

But we all know that's not how it works.

Especially with a family like hers.
