TRANSCRIPT OF A FACETIME CALL BETWEEN DAKOTA MCMANUS AND CARLA LIANG

CARLA: Hey babes, sorry to interrupt you in Japan, I'm sure you're fucking exhausted-

DAKOTA: Don't worry about it, seriously. My circadian rhythm is so fucked up that now the only time I can sleep properly is when I'm on a plane. I got back from the concert last night and literally wasn't even tired at all. I've only just woken up, in case you can't tell. What's up?

CARLA: I did some digging about that media leak, you know the one about you and-

DAKOTA: What did you find, Carls?

CARLA: *lowers her voice* Koda, I'm dead serious when I say that this needs to stay between us. I could lose my job for what I'm about to tell you.

DAKOTA: I swear that nothing leaves this phone call.

CARLA: *exhales* The photos were taken on one of our cameras, like the ones we use for the show. And on that night, that camera was linked back to one of our guys who got laid off last year, just before Azerbaijan. Budget cuts, I think. Interns were only safe because it was part of out graduation requirements.

DAKOTA: Who was it?

CARLA: I promised him that his identity would remain anonymous.

DAKOTA: Fucking hell, Carla-

CARLA: Let me finish. So I get in touch with this guy. He's a real piece of work, lemme tell you, but you know what he tells me? He says that he never went to the press. In fact, he sold those photos back in 2021.Β

DAKOTA: So what are you saying? Who bought them?

CARLA: Sweetie, I think you already know the answer.

DAKOTA: Carla, please. I need to hear it from you.

CARLA: He sold the photos to Helmut Marko.

BBCSports: Claire Williams, Naomi Schiff, and Stephanie Carlin to lead inquiry into Red Bull Driver's Academy Negligence in McManus case

PARIS, FRANCE - The FIA released the names this morning of the parties who will be heading up the McManus Probe into the AlphaTauri testing dirver's time at the sister organization as a member of their young driver's program.

The panel will be lead by former Williams CEO Claire Williams, 2019 W Series champion Naomi Schiff and F2's only female deputy team principal, Stephanie Carlin.

"Women in this sport have never been taken seriously," Carlin opens this morning's press conference. "what happened to Dakota is unacceptable. The purpose of our panel, make no mistake, is to bring closure to the women of this sport, and to prevent this negligence from happening to any other young women in motorsport, but to also find out what caused this, and who is truly responsible."

Also joining the panel will be former NASCAR Driver Danica Patrick and F3's Sophia Floersch, who hasn't competed since a spinal injury in the 2018 Macau GP as well as W Series CEO Catherine Bond-Muir.

"... i knew red bull fought dirty, but i didn't realize just how dirty it truly was until i got that call from carla. who said they could ruin me like that? i shouldn't be surprised, after what they did to danill, and pascal, and jean-eric, and pierre. i call it second driver syndrome. as it stands, unless you're max verstappen, you don't get any ounce of respect from marko or horner."
