"Any team willing to let her go over this just wanted paddock bragging rights": AlphaTauri DTM Driver Nick Cassidy the latest in a stream of motorsports personnel to show support on Twitter for Dakota McManus

MONTE CARLO, MONACO - Nick Cassidy, who was teammates with Alex Albon for the AlphaTauri DTM team in 2020 and now drives for Envision Racing in Formula E, has joined the queue of people within the world of European motorsports to tweet in support of Dakota McManus, who may be out of a job next year following intimate images of her and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc were released to the media. 

McManus is currently dating AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda, and their relationship seems to be holding steady for the time being.

"I think it's stupid that Baby Mac might not have a job next year." Cassidy states, referring to the crew chief with the affectionate nickname she was given after joining Toro Rosso in 2018, when her grandfather was still crew chief. "There was absolutely nothing wrong with what she did, and even if there was, it doesn't affect her ability to do a good job and to coach a good driver to the finish line. Any team that's willing to let her slip through their fingers over this never truly wanted her for her talent in the first place. They just wanted bragging rights in the paddock."

Here are the teams who have not rescinded offers to McManus, or have been in the media about wanting her for their teams, as well as the series' they compete in:

- Prema Powerteam ( Formula 2 )

- Juncos Hollinger Racing ( IndyCar )

- Haas ( Formula 1 )

- Quantfury ( W Series )

As you can see, the only F1 team still offering McManus a role is a backmarker at best, leaving the Aussie's future uncertain for days to come.
