.... does my hair look okay? pierre's pa kind of just showed up at my door and was like 'they wanna interview you now' so i didn't get a chance to look in the mirror before i left....

*inhales* hi, my name is dakota mcmanus, or baby mac as the team likes to call me. i'm twenty-three years old and i am the first woman in formula one to be promoted to assistant pit crew chief. god, i;ve done interviews for four seasons so why is this still so awkward?

the people i've met through formula one are more than just my best friends. they're like family to me. *chuckles* if you've been paying attention to me since season one, first of all, thank you. second of all, you probably already know how i feel about most of the people on the grid. danny ricciardo makes a good stand-on for my older brother while i'm away with the team, and he was the one that made me talk to lance stroll in the first place, god we got up to some dumb shit. 

but alphatauri has really always been ground zero, that tight bond.  it took a grand total of two months for me and pierre to become besties, and then he brought me into the fold with charles leclerc, and everything else really just fell into place. there's nothing in this world that comes close to being around these guys, especially in a season gearing up to be as intense as i think 2022 is going to be, given the state of the world right now.
