  13 year old Reina Winters was a quite normal district 4 citizen. However, When her childhood best friend and Long Term crush,Finnick Odair, got reaped,her life turned upside down ever since. Finnick was only 14.When finnick got picked Reina Cried for days. Walking into the main building too say her goodbyes was the hardest thing she had ever done.The peacekeepers had to tear them apart to get her away from each other.
  "I love you Finn Win for me." She whispered before the peacekeepers pried her off.
  "I love you Rei." He yelled as I was pulled out the door.
  Reina watched finnick for days,He had gotten so many sponsors,And with those sponsors he won the games. When he got home not everything went back to normal. He was still the sunshine in her life,but... he spent less time at home.That was,Until the 67th reaping. Finnick was standing on the stage smiling with his cheeky smile.
  "As always,ladies first." The mayor walked over too the female bowel and pulled a paper slip out.
  "Reina Winters!" They said. Finnick's smile dropped into a terrified look. Reina was only 15. The girl walked up onto the stage,while walking finnick and Reina's eyes met.And they didn't look away until Reina was forced to turn away from him. Finnick's  eyes never left Reina. He was worried. When it was time to say goodbye, Her brother Coyro was the first to come in. Coyro was only 7 and they were living with their alcoholic father.
"Listen. Finnick will take care of you while I'm gone. I love you so much.Don't forget that." Reina told her brother.
"Okay sissy.I love you more! Also here take this." Coyro takes off the shell necklace he had around his neck and hands it too his sister.
"Thank you.." she pulled him into a hug.Time was up. "I'll win this for you!" She told him while he walked out of the room crying. Finnick walked in. He made his way to her and embraced her in a tight hug. They were now (late) 15 and (early) 17 years old.
"I'm so sorry I can't protect you.." he whispered.
"Finn it's okay. I've had enough training with you,I'll be okay.." she trailed off not really knowing if she'll be okay. Finnick pulled away from the hug, they stared into each others eyes. They both leaned in for a kiss,the kiss was full of love and passion.It was short but it lived up to both their expectations.
"I love you so much. Win it. I believe in you." He told her.
"I love you more Finn." She said as finnick turned to walk out of the door. About 5 minutes later the peacekeepers took her away. She was mesmerized by the Capitol,it looked beautiful.
In the games her fellow tribute, Kenian , was killed right in front of her. it filled her with rage,She flew into a fit of rage and killed 4 people,3 careers and a girl from district 7. It was down to the last 3 and she hid in a tree. The two other tributes ended up fighting inside the cornucopia and killed each other.
That's how Reina won her game. But she couldn't return home. Snow didn't allow her too.
"Can I go home.." young 15 year old Reina would constantly ask.
"No can do." Snow would always say. He sold her body.Too his friends,Too his colleagues,too anyone who would pay the highest. Eventually Reina Stopped caring,She stopped smiling,stop having emotions. The only time anyone ever saw her outside of the Capitol is on reaping days when she stood on the stage and watch child after child get reaped. Snow didn't allow her to mentor anyone,or talk to anyone. Except her brother,Who she kept a eye on from all the way in the Capitol. She sent him money, food, anything he could send to help him. They talked whenever she found a way too.
On her 21st birthday the quarter quell was announced.
" For this years quarter quell,the tributes will be reaped from the existing pool of victors."
