Being Vernon's step-child was by far the worst thing you had ever had to endure. It wasn't mainly because of the man himself, it was the torture he brought along with him. Everyone hated Vernon, therefore, you were trapped with the stigma that you would get everyone in trouble. It ruined your highschool life, so you stopped caring what people did.
