While Andrew might have been a bit intimidated by Bender simply cause of his reputation, he couldn't watch him talk dirty about you. You were always a target to Bender, but no one had ever stuck up for you before. Even if you were far more mature and levelheaded for any insults of John's to bother you, you appreciated that Andrew did something. That's more than a lot would.
