Isn't it funny how a single text message could inspire such fear and worry? Four words, twelve letters, and utter panic from the receiver.

You: won't be in today

Asahi: What's wrong? Did something happen? Are you okay???

You: I got sick :/

Asahi: okay, I'm coming over

You sighed, dropping your phone face-down onto your bed. You knew your boyfriend Asahi was one to worry about even the littlest of things, but you honestly did not think he would miss a day of school just to come and check up on you. He was kind to a fault, really. You were left home alone for the day to take care of yourself, but you heard the door downstairs open. You assumed it was Asahi, you had given him a spare key some time ago. He climbed the stairs and carefully opened your bedroom door.

"(Y/n)?" He asked in a gentle voice to see if you were awake. You sat up and gestured for him to come closer.

"How are you feeling, sweetheart?" Asahi asked, pressing his palm to your forehead.

"I guess I could be better," You shrugged. "I have a bad headache and my stomach hurts."

"Did you already take some medicine?" Asahi guided you to lean back in bed.

"I did," You said, nodding your head. You coughed, quickly turning away from your compassionate and loving boyfriend. His heart ached as he watched the girl he cared about so deeply experience pain. If it were up to Asahi, you would never feel any sort of suffering again.

"You need to get some rest," Asahi instructed, a bit mother-like. You rolled your eyes with a smile. Asahi mumbled something about making you some soup and you chuckled.

"What's so funny?" Asahi asked, truly confused. You thought the baffled expression on his handsome face to be rather cute.

"Nothing," You shook your head, a fond smile on your face as you snuggled into bed. "I love you."

"I-I love you too, (Y/n)," Asahi said as he kissed your forehead. "I'll be here to keep taking care of you when you wake up."
