"Coach (L/n)!" Yui Michimiya called for your attention. "Do you have a moment to talk?"

"Of course," You responded curiously. Michimiya explained that she had some questions she wanted to ask. As captain of the girls' volleyball team, she wanted your advice on how to be a better captain and she wanted to bounce some strategies on the court. You had no plans for the evening, soΒ Michimiya made plans for you to meet her on the lawn behind the school. Part of you wondered why you couldn't just stay in the gym after practice, but you reluctantly agreed anyways.Β Michimiya grinned in excitement and skipped off as you looked on in confusion.

Michimiya happily ran across campus to where the boys' played. She peeked through the door, gesturing to Daichi, Sugawara, and Asahi to come outside. The third years sneakily followed her, carefully to make sure their coach didn't notice.

"How'd it go?" Sugawara asked anxiously.

"She's totally in!"Β Michimiya clapped her hands, nearly bouncing up and down. The boys silently cheered, their plan might actually work at this rate.

"Coach Ukai is skeptical, but he said he'll be there," Daichi explained with a smile. As soon as school was out, both volleyball teams bolted for the previously decided on lawn. They knew their coaches would be wary, but they hoped you would stick around.

"What the hell... " You mumbled, seeing the picnicΒ Michimiya had set up on the lawn.

"I was thinkin' something like that," Keishin spoke from behind you. "I thought this shit only happened in the movies." You turned around, seeing him with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face. You chuckled.

"I would be mad, but I've been trying to get them to improve their teamwork," You shrugged your shoulders. Keishin draped his arm around your waist carefully, giving you a look of playfulness.

"It might be silly, but it'd be a shame to let any of this go to waste," Keishin stated. You laughed and sat down on the blanket the kids' spread out over the grass. Keishin told you about the obviously phony excuse Hinata had given him. It was amusing to know they put in so much work just to get you and Keishin on a "date." You and Keishin have been dating for two weeks.

"It's funny," Keishin began, a small smile on his handsome face. "I was actually hereΒ when I realized I had a thing for you."

"Seriously?" You asked, in genuine surprise.

"Yeah," Keishin nodded, an amused expression. "I used to have a huge crush on you. When you came back, I uh--" Keishin chuckled, "I was really happy."

"Why didn't you tell me?" You gently smacked his chest. "I would've loved to go out with you! I had feelings for you back then too."

"Are you telling me we could have been together this whole time?" Keishin laughed. Fate works in funny ways.

"We'll just have to make up for it," You suggested. Keishin smiled and kissed you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His hands held your waist as he enjoyed the sensation of getting to kiss you. Having waited ten years to finally be able to love you, he sure as hell wasn't going to take it for granted any time soon. Keishin held you tightly as if you would slip away if he was ever to stop touching you.

"Yeah, we will," Keishin promised. Needless to say, your and Keishin's students watching from around the corner thought their plan worked a little too well.
