You were so elated to be in a relationship with Kageyama. Sure, he was a bit mean sometimes and struggle to express his honest feelings, but he was a sweetheart at his core. He cared about you so much and wanted nothing but to make you the happiest you've ever been and grow better by your side. However, there was one little thing your relationship was missing. You and Kageyama haven't kissed yet. You've been together for a month or two, and you really wanted this to happen with Kageyama.

"Are you coming to the game tomorrow?" Kageyama asked as he walked you home after school.

"Of course," You said casually. You always wanted to support Kageyama any chance you got, and you loved watching him play too. A smirk spread across your face as you said,

"But you better kick ass, or it'll be a waste of my time," You joked and Kageyama smiled.

"We will, don't worry," He stated boldly and you chuckled. It wasn't often that Kageyama would riff off your jokes, but whenever he did it was always fun. You loved seeing that blueberry boy smile. You, of course, would never find cheering on your boyfriend to be a waste of time, even if they lost. The following day, you accompanied Kageyama to the court before the game. The boys stretched, but you noticed they were all a bit tense as they did so.

"Are you nervous?" You asked Kageyama sympathetically.

"No," Kageyama said quickly. It was clear he was just trying to be brave for you, which you thought was cute, but he wasn't being truthful.

"Is the other team tough?" You inquired, electing to ignore his fib. Kageyama scowled and glanced across the court to see their opponents.

"Yeah," Kageyama admitted. "They haven't lost a game this season."

"They haven't lost yet," You pointed out, "but they're about to." Kageyama smirked at your faith in the team. Rather, your faith in him. It gave him some newfound confidence, knowing that you believed in him.

"Kageyama, let's go!" Daichi called, informing the boy it was time to start the match. Before you scurried off the court to find your place in the bleachers, you had an idea. You caught Kageyama prior to his departure. Your hand gently cupped the side of his face furthest from you as you turned him to look at you. Your other hand found his shoulder as you got to his height. Quickly and chastely, you pressed your lips to his.

"Good luck," You said in a hushed tone before running away to let him go. Your face was red and you were grinning like a mad-woman the entire jog to the bleachers. Kageyama stuttered nonsense as his captain pulled him into line, his face tinted pink. You just kissed, in your eyes, the best setter to ever grace the court. How did you ever get so lucky?
