Very cautiously, you sent a fleeting glance to your right. Though his remarkable for a high schooler, he was deliberate to give you an adequate amount of personal space. The only way you even knew he was around your age was because you recognized his Date Tech uniform; the same one you wore. He was tall and his shoulders looked to be wider than your bedroom doorframe. He wore an intense expression, keeping his eyes forward to stare out the train window. His caramel irises appeared so serious, you wondered if anything was on his mind.

You looked away, forcings your eyes to remain on your lap. You rested your hands there after tugging your school bag closer. Awkwardly you fiddled with your fingers. That boy--young man, rather, made you nervous. The only word that came to mind when you looked at him was intense. He was not scary, in fact, he seemed polite. It was clear he was trying his best not to make you uncomfortable.

Aone was a very simple young man, only a few thoughts occurred at once in his mind. Once you sat next to him, however, all of those thoughts revolved around the pretty girl so close to him. Aone had just about zero experience interacting with girls, let alone one as lovely as you. It felt like a hundred tiny butterfly wings were tickling his ribcage. You made him nervous.

Very carefully, he sent a brief glimpse in your direction. You felt so small compared to him. Your hands looked so tiny, he wondered if they felt as soft as they appeared. You were the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. You shied away from him, which made him think you might be afraid. He looked away, his expression becoming subtly dismal.Β

Why did he have to scare everyone he met? That was probably why he's never had a girlfriend. That was probably why no girl has ever sat next to him on the train until now. Aone took the train every day, but today was the first time someone has sat beside him.

The train pulled to a stop gently. The doors slid open with a loud hiss. You hopped to your feet and swiftly flew out of the train and into the station. The doors closed and Aone watched as you disappeared. He wished he had the courage to say something to you, but he missed his chance. The train began to move again steadily. He looked to the seat to his left, relaxing somewhat.

You forgot your bag.

If left on the train, you would probably never get it back. He had to return it to you. Your uniform matched his so you would be at school the following day. Aone felt it was his responsibility to make sure your bag found its way back to you. He picked up the bag, placing it directly next to his. He was going to return it to you, of that much he was certain.
