You and Derek had wanted to go out to dinner forever, it felt like. But, every time you had a plan to go, a mission got in the way, and you both had to abandon the idea and head to work. Your promise of a date had been going on for months, and you both eventually gave up on the whole romantic dinner by candlelight idea. Yet, it still came as a surprise when you sat down with Derek on the flight home and Spencer approached you in a suit, with a towel from the cabin bathroom and a piece of paper from his notebook. JJ threw a table cloth over the table and you just burst out laughing when Spencer asked you what you wanted for dinner. You knew Derek had set it up and you felt your heart explode in love. Even if you couldn't have a real dinner, anything was good with the two of you.
