Being gone for days, sometimes weeks at a time, put some strain on you and Derek's relationship. You felt like sometimes you barely got to see him, let alone spend any time together, as he was always on call for the next mission. So, sometimes all you could do was curl up on the couch and watch movies in his hoodie. When he would come home late he would always feel guilty, especially when he would see you passed out on the couch waiting for him. He would pick you up, carry you to your bed, and cuddle up with you, trying not to wake you up.
