Twelve

Bethany and Fridge both got up from where they sat, to walk over to the edge. Spencer and Tillie also stood crouched behind the rock.

Spencer spoke up, "Hey Alex."

Alex looked up.

"We're going to get you out of here, okay?"

Tillie nodded, "We Will Alex. That way you can go home."

Alex blinked, "Yeah."
-
Martha stood at a distance, before deciding to put her walk to use. Yes, the one that her and Bethany had practiced.

One of the guards noticed her, standing up while holding his gun. The other turned around, staring at her also.
-
Fridge held up a pair of binoculars, gazing into them. "What the hell is going on with her butt?"

Spencer piped in, "What did you tell her to do Bethany?"

"Did she twist her ankle, maybe?"

Tillie winced, watching the scene before her. Bethany grimaced, "Give her a break guys. She's never flirted with anyone before."
-
Martha walked closer to the two guards, trying to mimic the walk that her and Bethany had practiced. Her arms and hips swinging at the same time.

One of the guards spoke with an accent, "Hello little lady, what are you doing out here all by yourself?"

Martha dipped down and back up, flipping her hair back. "Hey you two." She swung her hair around, "I seem to have gotten lost out here. Can you both help me?" She blew some of her hair away from her face.

The two men looked at her. The one from before spoke once more, repeating what he had said. "Hello little lady, what are you doing out here all by yourself?"

She let out a little laugh, "You are so funny and interesting."
-

The group watched from their spot by the rock. Fridge asked out loud, "Did she get a bug in her hair?" They all watched as Martha flipped her hair back and forth.

Tillie looked at Bethany, "Why is she flipping her hair so much?"

Bethany sighed as she watched the scene unfold, "She's forgotten everything we practiced."

Spencer spoke, "Let's go guys."

One by one, the group followed Spencer down.
-

Martha looked over, causing both men to notice. Before they could both look to see what she was staring at, Martha yelled out, "Wait! I need to tell you about this new book I've been reading." She began twirling several pieces of her hair.

"It's on microbiology, one of my favorite subjects."

As she spoke, the group quickly snuck down the hill towards the gate.

Martha began nibbling on her lower lip, although it wasn't as subtle as Bethany said she should.

In the distance, Spencer was using the bolt cutters to cut through part of the fence.

The guard once again repeated the same sentence to Martha, crossing his arms as he stood. The other guard cocked his gun, causing Martha to gasp out in shock. She turned around and whispered to herself, "You are a badass."

The radio right next to her turned on, and began playing the opening lines to Baby I Love Your Way.

"Ooh baby, I love your way, everyday yeah, yeah"

She turned around and smiled as the next line began. "Ooh, baby, I love your way, everyday."

"Do you guys like to dance?"

She danced forward as the next line played. "Shadows grow so long before my eyes." She laid her hand on his shoulder, sliding it across his chest to the other.
-

Spencer slid under the now loose part of the gate that he cut. Fridge went next, holding it so Tillie could slide under. Bethany and Alex followed after them.
-

Martha continued her dance, standing between the two men. The quiet one tossed his gun down. Martha laid her arms on the other's shoulders, swaying her hips to the beat of the music. Both men watched her.

-

The rest of the group watched as they finally got to the side door. Spencer looked both ways, before kicking the door open.

-

Martha continued to dance, making sure both men were focused on her.

-

Once inside the Transportation Shed, the group began looking at all the different vehicles.

Spencer repeatedly chanted in a quiet tone, "Which one? Which one? Which one?"

Alex stood looking around, "I really hate this place."

Outside, Martha was continuing to dance and making sure she wasn't just focusing on one guard. Bethany stood by the window, watching her from inside. She gasped, "Martha's strength is dance fighting."

"Alex, what's the move?"

Alex looked confused, "What are you saying?"

Tillie spoke out, "Which vehicle should we take Alex?"

Alex shook his head.

Spencer continued, "Which one?"

Alex responded, "I don't know guys, I already told you I..."

Tillie spoke, "Didn't you say we needed to fly?"

Spencer continued, "What about the helicopter? That would be one."

"I told you guys I don't know."

Fridge had leaned back on a motorcycle, knocking it over. The noise echoed loudly through the shed. Bethany looked after it happened.

The noise was so loud, both the guards and Martha heard it outside. They all looked over towards the shed. Martha threw her head back, head butting the guard she was dancing with. Right after, she kicked her leg out hitting the other between his legs. He gasped in pain, before they all began to fight.

Bethany spoke, "She's kicking ass, that's our girl!"

Fridge made his way over, watching the fight take place outside.

"Yes queen!"

They both watched as Martha took the chair and hit one of the guards. The chair broke upon impact. Martha ducked, evading punches before decking one square in the face.

Fridge spoke out impressed, "She's totally destroying them."

Spencer popped out of the door, watching the fight unfold. The fight went on for a little longer, before Martha threw the man to the floor.

Spencer nodded, seeing she had everything handled. He turned and walked by inside, closing the shed door.

Bethany yelled, "You go girl!" They watched as the canopy collapsed, as Martha walked away.

"Yes, you're my hero!" Bethany pranced away from the window. Fridge looked out the window, noticing more men appearing on dirtbikes.

"We have to go."

Bethany opened the door, letting her in. "You kicked ass girl, you did it."

"I did!"

Spencer got excited, "yeah, give me a hug!" They awkwardly hugged each other.

Fridge quickly made his way over, "We ain't got time for that. They're coming, the people on motorcycles. We all got to go!"

He walked over to where Alex and Tillie were standing by the helicopter.

"Seaplane, we have to fly man!" Fridge pointed to the helicopter.

Alex shook his head, "No, I can't do it. Okay, I told you guys I'm not a good pilot. Maybe we should take something else, like the school bus." He motioned to the bus.

"What?"

"We can't outrun those guys on no damn school bus!"

Tillie spoke, "Fridge is right Alex, we can't."

Alex shook his head.

Bethany brought up, "You already picked the plane and the hot air balloon. Maybe you were supposed to pick the helicopter."

"Good point cuz."

"I can't do it. Guys, I don't want to die! I'm freaking out right now man, bad."

Fridge turned away frustrated. He turned back, and shrugged. "I'll do it, how hard can it be to fly this thing? You press a button, then uh they go spin. After that, you yank on the leaver. That's how you get the thing to go forward and backward. Once we get in the air, we are gonna be all right."

Bethany looked at him.

Fridge continued, "I just gotta get.." He threw his leg up, trying to get into the helicopter. However, he wasn't able to. He looked down on the side, "They don't have no step stool." He turned around, back facing the helicopter. He then tried to get into it that way.

Bethany shook her head, "No you're drunk."

"Fridge you're drunk, give me the keys."

Fridge let out a gasp.

Tillie motioned, "Do it fridge."

He looked over at her.

Martha walked over to Alex, "Alex if I can fight those guys, you can fly the helicopter. I know you can. Come on."

The group all looked at them, watching and listening.

"Alex, this is why we need you."

Tillie and Bethany spoke together, "You are the missing piece."

Alex looked at them before nodding, "Seaplane McDonough reporting for duty." He put on his sunglasses, "Let's go everybody!"

The group of men on the dirtbikes got closer outside. Dust came shooting out underneath the shed door. A loud rumbling inside was heard, shaking all of the windows. The big doors were shaking on the shed.ย

Once the men got to the entrance, they began shooting through the doors. However moments later, wood from the shed went flying everywhere.

The doors broken as a helicopter burst from the shed.
