Fourteen Part One

Once they emerged from the canyon, cheers erupted from some.

"We made it! I thought we were gonna die."

Fridge silently looked down into the canyon.

Spencer sighed in relief.

Alex yelled, "Yes!" As he continued to control the helicopter, he smiled.

Bethany took a deep breath.

Tillie looked over at Fridge, noticing the look on his face.

Before she could say anything, Martha smiled. "That was scary."

"Oops."

Spencer looked over, noticing that Tillie was also looking at Fridge.

"What?"

Tillie spoke up, "Please tell me you aren't going to say what I think you are."

Fridge sighed, "I dropped it."

Everyone yelled simultaneously, "What?"

"You dropped the jewel Fridge?"

Fridge shook his hand, "Leaned over, cause I thought I had to puke. Ended up not puking, and the jewel came out of my backpack."

Bethany whined, "We need that freaking jewel."

Fridge grimaced, "I know, that's what's crazy. I know we need the jewel." He shook his head, "We're in a pickle right now."

Spencer looked up front, "Turn around. We have to go back and get it."

Fridge made a circular motion, "Let's just loop around."

Alex sighed, before looping the helicopter back around. The helicopter flew back towards the canyon.

They all looked around, trying to see if they could spot where Fridge lost the jewel. Tillie pointed, "There it is, I see it!"

As they flew back down into the canyon, they noticed the herd of albino rhinos circling around the jewel as it glowed.

Alex flew the helicopter right above them.

Martha looked down, "What are they doing?"

Spencer responded, "It looks like they're protecting it."

Tillie piped up from behind, "It does look like it."

Alex looked back, "Alright how are we going to do this?"

Spencer shook his head, "I don't know."

Fridge spoke up, "Well you gotta go get it, right buddy?"

As Alex lowered the helicopter, Fridge climbed over to Spencer. He looked out, "What are you going to need? Your boomerang? Maybe a pair of scissors?" He looked at Spencer.

Spencer looked off, lost in thought. He kept staring at the herd of rhinos.

"A pipe wrench? A pair of shoe laces? I'm your guy, your valet. Whatever you need."

Spencer looked down at Fridge's arm, specifically at his life count. Noticing that Fridge still had two lives left, he made a decision.

"You just say what you want."

Spencer made eye contact with him.

Fridge looked at him confused, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I'm sorry buddy."

"What are you sorry for?"

Spencer grabbed Fridge's backpack, firmly shoving him out of the helicopter.
