Eight

The group, as quickly as they could, made their way through the crowd while it was smoky. As the group of men with guns tried to follow, the masked man led them to an empty room. He quietly yelled, "Come on." He crouched down on the floor, lifting a metal cover. He moved it away, revealing a hole with a ladder leading down.

"Down here."

He motioned, "Come on quick."

Martha crouched down quickly, grabbing onto the ladder.

Right before the men with guns entered that exact room, the masked man slid the metal cover back into place. The group of me unaware of where they just disappeared to.

The masked man finished climbing down the ladder, before he removed the mask he was wearing.

Martha went to speak, when the man held up his finger to his lips signaling to stay quiet.

The group of men above ran across the metal cover. The man, now wearing no mask, lit a torch. "I need you to follow me, and do exactly as I say." He began to walk down a pathway, "Let's move." All five quickly followed after him.

"Oh my god you guys, I'm so stoked you are here. You have no idea."

"You are?" Tillie asked out loud.

"So pumped, I saw you guys in the bazaar and thought to myself 'No way,' but then thought yeah that's totally..." He jumped back towards the wall, "Backs against the wall!"

Tillie stepped back quickly, putting her back against the wall.

Fridge yelled out, "Oh my god."

What looked to be Jumanji's version of a 'boobie trap' had went off.

He spoke, "Let's keep moving."ย  He began walking again. He turned, going through another entry way that led him in another direction. "Watch your step in here."

Martha asked curious, "Um, who are you?"

Fridge continued, "Who do you think we are?"

The man responded, "My bad, right.. Let me back up here."

Spencer asked, "Wait, are you the pilot? Seaplane something..."

Tillie looked at Spencer, "I was just going to ask the same thing."

The man nodded, "Yes that's me." He looked at and smiled.

Fridge asked, "Wait... You were the other character we couldn't choose! You're in the game too, like us?"

Seaplane stopped, "Stay off the white bricks and freeze."

"Wait what?"

Everyone took steps back, off the white bricks. Large sharp blades shot out of the ground.

Bethany gasped, "Oh."

The blades went back into the ground, as quickly as they shot out.

"So gnarly."

Fridge spoke out to himself mainly, "This game sucks."

Once they turned through another entry, Seaplane stuck his arm out to stop Martha.

"Ope." Seaplane let go of his torch, letting it fall into the water below. The crocodiles stared biting at the torch. They all looked down, as the crocodiles became occupied with it.

Seaplane grabbed a plank of wood, "Alright get this plank." He carefully laid the plank of wood across the opening of the pit. Once it was secure, he walked a crossed it. "Follow me." Once he made it to the other side, he turned around. Looking at Martha he motioned, "Careful, it's a horrible way to die."

Tillie spoke up, "How do you know that?"

Seaplane made eye contact, "That's how one of the past Rhodes died."

Tillie got quiet, "Oh okay." Fridge stood a little closer to her, offering silent encouragement.

Martha timidly stepped on to the plank. Once she was on, she darted across to the other side.

"There you go."

Fridge went next, trying to keep balance with his backpack on his back. A crocodile popped up out of the water, snapping its jaw. Fridge took a deep breath, while Seaplane motioned for him to continue.

"Come on."

"I got it, I got it. I just defanged a snake." Fridge continued as he made it to the other side.

Tillie decided to go next, cutting in front of Spencer. Once she stepped foot on the plank, she decided not to look down. She didn't say anything, but Seaplane's story really freaked her out. It seems that her fear of crocodiles is still there, even though she's now in Jumanji. She made her way across the plank, as quick as she could without losing her balance.

They all turned looking at who was going to go next. Spencer looked down, before casually just walking across the plank. Seaplane gave him a look, when he made it.

The only one still on the other side was Bethany, or Professor Shelly Oberon. As she began to walk across, a crocodile jumped up. Bethany began to panic, causing her to start wobbling. Before she lost her balance completely, Seaplane reached out and grabbed her hand. With grabbing her hand, he was able to effectively pull her over to their side safely.

Still in Seaplane's grasp, Bethany gazed into his eyes. "Hi there."

Seaplane looked at the man, "Uh, hi."

They both walked over to the others. Seaplane began opening up a gate, "Come on." He opened up a rock door. Once everyone made their way through, Seaplane shut the door.

They were all now back in the jungle.

Seaplane turned around, smiling.

"Anyway, I'm Alex."
