one.

seraphina waited patiently at the side of the road, checking her watch from time to time as she anticipated the arrival of rue.

she promised she'd be here fifteen minutes ago, but she was a no-show. just as she was about to get back on her bike and ride off home, a car pulled up beside her and rue's head popped out the window.

"you're late," seraphina huffed, dumping her bike in a nearby bush and jumping in the backseat. "no, i'm not the one driving. fez is the one who's late."

seraphina looked over at fez, someone she knew lightly. she'd buy weed from him sometimes, but there wasn't a bond between them.

"yo, why the fuck is seraphina parker in the back of the car?" a deep voice asked from the passenger seat. she didn't even notice there was anyone there but when she looked at him, she noticed it was ashtray.

he was fezco's younger brother. tried to sell her a lot of drugs one time but she got annoyed because he talked too much and just left.

"ashtray, what's up?" she grinned, holding her fist out for him to bump. he paused for a moment until he bumped it back, settling back into his seat and clenching his jaw.

"yeah, rue. you said that you were gonna get out, not bring more people along for the ride," fezco groaned, pulling out of his parking spot and driving off down the road.

"i thought that maybe she could come along."

"hold up, this ain't a good idea. bringing a parker to a drug deal? nah, bro. you're asking for us to get killed." fez answered, knuckles tightening around his wheel.

"nah, it's clever, no-ones gonna kill her. i mean, unless they have a death wish."

ignoring his comment, seraphina watched as rue reached over and turned the radio on. she was evidently high, god knows what on.

tupac began playing and she sang along, moving around and dancing in the back seat. rolling her eyes, seraphina picked away at the chipped nail polish on her fingers.

"yo, it-it's up here on the right," ashtray said, catching her attention. a gun that she hadn't noticed before was pulled out from beside him, and he loaded it as she furrowed your eyebrows.

seraphina could tell rue's singing was getting on his nerves because he was glaring at her through the mirror. "rue, i think you should calm down."

the girl ignored her, carrying on with her singing. sending ashtray an apologetic look, he rolled his eyes and threw his head back against the head rest.

rue snorted some drugs and offered seraphina some, but she decided to pass. "my uncle will know if i come home high, rue. so, no."

it was confusing how rue could carry on singing even after she had just took hardcore drugs. ash finally snapped and gritted to fez, "yo, can you tell her to shut the fuck up?"

she seemed to listen to that and fez carried on, "yeah, rue, you gotta chill out back there for real. me and ash gotta handle some serious business right now."

"yeah, for sure. no, i can do that."

"can you?" seraphina asked, raising an eyebrow as rue examined her. "yeah, bro. i'm chill. chill, chill, chill. i can just stay back here, it's really comfy."

rue raised her arms and put them behind her head, her armpit pushing into seraphina's face. "maybe for you," seraphina muttered, staring ahead at the road.

the car stopped outside a gate and it opened slowly, fez driving through. he stopped and his headlights flashed on a man and a woman.

the woman waved and fez groaned out, "who the fuck is this bitch?"

"probably his girlfriend. maybe, i mean, she's pretty. he's not."

"shut up," ashtray demanded, watching as fez exited the car and walked over to the guy. "nah, i don't like this."

"me neither," ashtray commented, eyes following his brother and the man as the woman stood in front of the car. she began walking over to it and opened the door, sliding in next to you.

"hold on, i'm just gonna move real quick," seraphina said, hopping over and resting into the drivers seat. "what the hell are you doing?" ashtray asked, eyes concentrated on her as she moved around.

"i'm not sitting in between them two. they're both high as fuck."

"we can hear you, you know?" rue said.

"yeah, i know, that's the point."

ashtray snickered at seraphina's response and was about to respond before fez leaned against the drivers side door. "ten, twenty minutes tops, all right? y'all, just please stay in the car. no fucking funny business. let's go."

ashtray gave seraphina a glance before getting out the car, leaving the three girls alone.

"hi, i'm faye."

"yo, fam, i'm rue," they fist bumped and seraphina turned around, introducing herself to the girl. "seraphina." she made the decision to not say her last name just in case she got asked loads of questions by the obvious drug user.

as the other girls spoke in the back, seraphina's phone began ringing and she excused herself to answer it. it was her uncle.

"yo, where are you?" he asked, making seraphina gulp as she tried to think of an excuse. if he knew she was on a drug deal with fezco, he'd freak and blow his house up.

"with some friends. we're at the park."

"oh, ok. well, be home soon, alright?"

ending the call, she turned around and furrowed her brows when she noticed faye with her leg in the air. "yo, what the fuck? you can't be doing that here!" seraphina snapped, getting ready to open the car and drag her out.

but before she could, someone grabbed her from behind and started dragging her into the building. she screamed and hit his arm, but he didn't seem to be hurt by it.

she was shoved against the wall next to ashtray, whilst a man examined her carefully. "where do i know you from?"

"i don't know," she shrugged, hoping to god this wasn't some guy her uncle had wronged. he gave her a strange look before gripping the other guys neck, saying rather angrily, "you come to my motherfuckin' house, with two fucking twelve year olds, two junkie whores, and a motherfucker i don't know."

he began explaining some stuff but she drowned it out, staring behind her to a woman in a chair. she beckoned over to the guy who grabbed you outside, and he went over.

must have been the boss.

they whispered for a moment before he left and turned the radio on. "all y'all, let's get naked right fuckin now."

oh hell no was seraphina going to get naked in front of everyone. first off, she was a minor. and second of all, she'd probably throw up in his face.

ashtray began undressing and seraphina widened her eyes, wondering if he'd actually do it. "except for you, keep your shit on. nobody wants to see you naked."

"bj, take his and the girls ass down to the closet."

bj grabbed both of them by their coats and began dragging them down the hall, as the others protested. "you're hurting me," she groaned, but he didn't listen.

ashtray began fiddling with his pocket and you remembered the glock. but the guy took notice and snatched it off him, opening the closet door and throwing them both inside.

it was extremely small. like, claustrophobic type small. ashtray hit the door a couple of times until he sat down, next to seraphina.

"bro, you could have just told him your last name. ain't nobody gonna fuck with you." ashtray said, eyeing the girl as she picked away at her nail polish.

"i'm not telling him my name, who knows what he'd do."

everything was silent for a bit until seraphina felt her phone buzz in her back pocket. "shit, it's my uncle."

"and?"

"he thinks i'm at the park, not trapped in a drug dealers closet with some boy."

"ey, you're lucky that boys me. fuck knows if it was a pervert. i don't fuck with perverts."

seraphina decided to let the phone ring out before shooting him a text back, informing him she'd be home soon. but the truth was, she didn't even know if she'd make it out of the house alive.
