olivia woke up the next morning, covered in gray sheets that weren't hers.

she had remembered everything that happened the night before, and was incredibly embarrassed. she didn't want fezco to feel like he had to take care of her, and she didn't want to be dependent on him like she was being.

when she went to reach for her phone, the door had opened a crack, and then all the way. fezco was standing there in the door frame, leaning on it as him and olivia made eye contact. she sat up slowly, the covers still over her.

"sorry. i'll clean up whatever mess i made and i'll call someone to pick me up." she shook her head, slowly picking the sheets and comforter off and hanging her feet over the bed. fezco sighed and walked fully into the room, shutting the door behind him.

"chill, liv. i just wanna talk to you." he said. olivia didn't say anything, just watched him slowly sit down next to her on the bed. she fixed her legs so that they were back under the covers, and they didn't dare look at the other.

"do you remember anything?" he asked.

liv nodded.

"i'm really sorry for showing up here like that. it wasn't right to you and ash. it was embarassing and-"

"i miss you. so fucking much." he cut her off. he put his hands over his face, rubbing the top of his head. she bit her bottom lip, thinking hard about what he had just confessed.

"i know i'm the one who pushed you away. but, shit, i'm not myself without you. things aren't the same around here. it went from you coming by everyday to you..not here at all." fezco continued.

olivia nodded. he was right. things were different on her end, too.

and just as confusing.

"you have to tell me if you want to be with me or not. because you seemed very defiant about it at that diner, and now it sounds like a different story." she said. she could see fezco slightly nod out of the corner of her eye.

"i want to be with you. i'm always gonna want to be with you." he started.

"but?" she asked. there always was a but, a problem, something that kept them from what they really wanted.

"but i still believe in everything i said." he shook his head again.

olivia nodded. she did want to cry, but she was so tired of crying it and felt like she had been doing so much of it that there were no tears left.

the bed moved a little. it was fezco moving closer to olivia's body, pulling her in from the side to lean on his chest. she closed her eyes and leaned into him.

they missed this. just the two of them, laying together and talking. it was the rare hit of peace the two had in their crazy, fucked up lives that kept them sane.

"im gonna leave. and then i'm not coming back." olivia talked slowly, her head still on him. he squeezed her tighter.

they could say it all they want, but it was said before. and deep down, they knew there was no telling the future. anything could happen.

"stop doing drugs." fezco whispered. liv sighed and closed her eyes, shifting and sitting on the edge of the bed. she felt his hand move to her, so she looked at fezco over his shoulder.

"i mean it. if anything happens, anything..." he said. liv now fully stood up smoothed out her shirt. she walked over to the door, but looked at him one last time before leaving the room.

"i'll be fine." she said.
