I Headcanon Sid Looks Like Rodrick

(24 days till the next Greenie)

"Hey. Hey? Helloooo. Anyone there?" I blinked my eyes a few times, my mind feeling like it was being squished. Finally my burning eyes focused on a face hovering above me. Chuck. "You're up!" I rubbed my eyes and grumbled, my voice raspy with morning.

"Yes. I'm up you little shit." Chucks face twinkled.

"Today you're gonna work with me! I'm a slopper you know. The keepers name is Sid and he's pretty nice to me so I think he'll be nice to you to." Chucks rambling never slowed. "He's just kind of a loner y'know, doesn't like people talking to him for a long time like...how I do." Chucks voice faltered at the end. I slapped him on the arm.

"Well Bud, I like it when you talk just fine. Just maybe a little lower volume in the morning." Chucks face returned to its regular jolliness.

"Oh okay. Sounds good." I stretched my arms to the sky. My bones cracked, releasing tension from yesterday's strenuous work day.

"Well I don't know about you but I'm going to get some breakfast. I'll race you!" Chuck and I raced to the kitchen, I slowed down just a little so that he'd beat me. "Good job Chuckalicious!" I teased playfully. He panted smiling at me.

"Thanks-"

TW: VERBAL HARRASMENT

"Mmmh the things I'd do to you girl." The light hearted air disappated quickly. Chuck snapped his head up at Victor.

"Hey. Don't talk to her like that." Shit. Why is it that chihuahuas always have the urge to fight pit bulls.

"Or what? Is Chuckalicious the Slopper gonna do somethin' about it." I could see Chuck was getting stupid high off of his adrenaline.

"Maybe I am." Victor came towards him poking a finger in his chest.

"I'd like to see you try Chubs." Pushing Victors wrist away from him, I pulled the top of Chucks shirt backwards pulling him away. Looking up at Victor I kept my voice in a clear flat tone.

"You do not touch him. Got that? I know you have this weird obsession with me, but you will never touch Chuck." Victor laughed.

"You're so hot when you try to be serious." I wrung my hands out in frustration.

"God what the fuck is your problem man?!" Victor sighed looking me up and down.

"My problem is that it's so obvious that you want me." My face tightened and I squinted my eyes at him.

"What?!" I shook my head back and forth. "Do you know how crazy you sound right now?! You don't even know my fucking name!" Victor smugly grinned.

"So? Neither do you. The only name you need to know is mine, cuz you're gonna be moaning it real soon." I sighed then turned to Chuck.

"Go get me some breakfast Chuck okay." I started to turn back towards Victor "I'm gonna need it after I slap the shit out of this Bitch." I raised my hand strike him across the face. Someone caught my wrist ruining my plan.

"Hey what's goin' on here." Newt said lowering my hand. I remembered what Newt had said about holding my tongue. Seething, I breathed in deeply and smiled at him dropping my hand.

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." Shooting daggers at Victor, I whipped myself around and headed over to my table. My moodiness swirled around my chest making me tense. After Chuck came with breakfast I sat there looking at Victor. Fantasizing about sticking the fork I was squeezing into his eye. I gored the table with my fork as I slammed it down. I could feel the heat coming off of my skin. Chuck hesitated.

"Hey. A-Are you okay?" I snapped at him.

"No Chuck, I'm not okay." Turning my anger onto someone I could actually hurt. "If you hadn't been so stupid none of this would've happened." I continued chastising him. "What did you think you could actually fight Victor." Chuck protested with me.

"I was just trying to protect you-"

"That's the problem okay. You think you can protect me? I don't want your protection alright. If anyone should be protecting anyone it should be me okay." I glared at his eyes that stung with hurt.

"I'm sorry." His face looked away from mine mumbling. "I was just trying to help." Something inside me cracked my anger, causing it to dissipate into something empty. Guilt.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. It wasn't your fault, really." Worry and nervousness punctured my heart. Shit. What if I messed up. What if he hates me. "I didn't mean what I said, I swear. Please, I'm really sorry Chuck. Honestly." His face still turned from mine he took his hand and wiped it. Nudging his head to mine he still couldn't look me in the eyes. He mumbled.

"It's okay." He pointed at my waffles. "Are you gonna eat that." Relief washed over me and I pushed my plate towards him.

"No you can have it." He looked up at me again, his eyes shone from leftover tears and he gave a little smile.

"Thanks." He munched on my food, looking ravenous.

"Of course." I gazed at him dotingly, my heart aching. I don't know why I cared for him so much, I guess it was just one of those things that happen. I touched his curls, ruffling up his hair. I was filled with warmth again, a different kind. Not the angry kind. The loving kind. I'd made up my mind right then and there that I'd be his protector. No matter what the cost.

"Hey, you two." A gravelly voice pulled me out of savior dreams. It was a tall lanky boy. He had tanned skin paired with dark brown fluffy hair. His appearance was gaunt like, his brown eyes giving you hints of unearthed friendliness. "Showers need cleanin'. Chuck you know what to do. Just show the Newbie how to do everything an' stuff."

"Okay Sid." The lanky boy stalked off giving me a ghostly look. Chuck looked at me cheerfully.

"Today's gonna be fun. Come on we have to go get the cleanin' supplies and klunk." Eager to keep in Chuck's good favor I got up out of my seat.

"Lead the way little man."
