I'd sell my own bones for sapphire stones

"Y/n we can't." I took hold of her hand, clasping it in mine.

"Why not?" She took her hand back away from me. I was going to have to remind her of everything all over again, wasn't I?

"Murderer?"

"More like boy with homicidal urges!" She tugged on my arm without success, a set and determined stilled itself on her face. "Come on Gally, live a little."

"How about we just live instead. Be happy with that."

"Let's go. Don't be a square." She insisted, running a hand across my cheek, caressing me.

"No." I grabbed the small of her wrist. "Stay." They furrowed their brow thinking of a different solution. Y/n snaked their free hand to my thigh, kissing me

"Please?" They said sliding their hand upward, my skin tingled from under my pants getting that funny feeling.

"No." I managed with a great amount of willpower I didn't even know I was capable of. Y/n's eyes darkened, clearly unhappy with my answer. She sharply took her wrist away and spun towards the leering door. I hopped up after her, mentally cursing myself when she made it out without even having to use the window.

Y/n's Point Of View:

I darted down the ladder, sprinting across the pasture. Gally's footsteps followed after me.

"Hey, get back here!"

"Make me!" I cried out, treating my chase like a game of childhood tag, narrowly missing rocks and small logs. Almost to the kitchen. A hand grabbed the back of my shirt. I was well aware of what was to happen next. "Oh fuck." Gally ripped me towards him, sending me backward into his chest. "You are seriously a Loser." I groaned.

"And you're an Idiot!" He flipped me around, gripping my shoulders tightly. In the little light given his eyes flashed in anger. "God y/n I just don't want you dead. Unless you want to die?" I guess he did care about me, was just trying to keep me safe.

"Sorry." The word came out soft, quiet. The crickets sang a sweet little lullaby, keeping the other boys sleepy. "But we're already here so can we just do it?" Gally thought about it, I could see all of the cogs turning, his hold on me loosened.

"Sure." He mumbled.

At first Gally was wary about stealing from the fridge. Frypan was one of his only good friends. One of my only friends. Still I knew the boy wouldn't mind. He seemed to have a soft spot for me, as I did for him. So we were quick about it. Stealing a carton of the ice cream I requested.

"You've never had ice cream?!" I hissed, in disbelief that such an abomination could occur. The creators denying youth of the single most delicious, amazing, god given gift on the planet. "That's blasphemy. Disgusts me."

"Well it's true." Gally set the carton of chocolate fudge on the counter, reaching for a spoon.

"Ha ha, you're an ice cream virgin. Loser." He knew my mean spiritedness and teasing was how I showed affection so he was fine with me saying that kind of stuff. I dug the spoon into the ice cream. Scraping as much as I could on it, I readied it for Gally. "Eat up Virgin."

"Yes ma'am." He accepted the spoon and with a swift motion, placed the contents in his mouth. I watched his face light up, pinpointing the exact moment the flavors sunk in. He slipped the spoon out, taking another bite of ice cream.

"Good?!" My voice spilling out before I could catch it.

"What do you think?" He grinned, his hand fit itself around my jaw. Tilting my head up he leaned down and with a smirk kissed me. Chocolate left itself on my lips.

He was so...wow...

"What's your favorite animal?" I asked, my legs swinging over the edge of the clumsily built tower. An empty carton of ice cream lay sideways on the other side of me. The last drop had been drunk. Gally's leg nearest me was pressed against mine, the contact making my stomach swarm and squirm.

"Cats." He replied, looking out into the glade's darkness. The sky shone like a million fairy lights. Stars dotting the sky, pinpricked through glowing down on us. An incredible dazzling display.

"Why?" I never really cared for cats, was more of a dog person myself.

"They're kinda like you." Gally said matter of factly, as if this should be obvious.

"How so?" I scoffed, still listening to him intently.

"One minute you're petting them, the next they scratch you. Sound familiar?" Did Gally really feel that way? He was sorta right. Nevertheless I'd hurt him, in the past and...recently.

"I'm sorry." My apology rolled of the tongue as I placed my hand around his, squeezing it.

"It's okay. I sort of like it." Gally flipped his hand over, our palms touching now. His calloused fingers pressing in my hand. His eyes glimmered from the starlight. "I never know what you're gonna next. Kind of means everything's a surprise." My heart swelled, captured by the moment.

Captured by Gally.

"You're always there. I'm never alone. No matter what batshit crazy thing I come up with you just play along. That's why I like you." The corners of his lip twitch upwards. The freckles on his face matching the sky. His lips still had chocolate around the edges.

His eyes...

"What's your favorite color?" Gally asked.

"Blue." I breathed looking at his beautiful beautiful eyes. They were blue too, which is exactly why it was my favorite color.

"I like blue too-"

"I love you." I blurted. Lost in his features. They were now more available due to how his head spun around at my words. "I'm not even embarrassed to say it. Why should I when it's true?"

A glint of light caught the corner of my eye. Turning my head I saw it. Saw the whole sky. Filled with shooting stars, rocketing themselves and fading out with a fizzle.

"It's a meteor shower." I whispered, pointing at the sky. "I've never seen one before. Beautiful."

"Not as pretty as you." Gally turned my jaw toward him, joining my lips with a kiss. Eyes still closed, his nose nudging up the bridge of mine he said this. "I love you too."

And then it was said. Done. As if we'd said it a thousand times before. Like two old lovers, tathered and worn together. I loved him and he loved me. What more was there to say? What else could I ask for? For once my insatiable appetite was sated.

Gally was all I needed. Correction,

All I wanted.
