100 gecs? 100 grand? 100 chapters?!

Dirt crunched underneath me. Sprigs of fresh flowers lay strewn on George's grave. The day stretched longer today. The sun had been bright, now starting to fade. A little bit still swirled in the glade I was currently inhabiting. Well digging in is a better phrasing. More like digging frantically. Chuck, my sweet companion, was right on the ground with me.

"Come on, come on." Dirt snuck under my finger nails as I tore at the earth. "Where is it?!" My spine ached from bending over the ground.

"Do you think you could've put it in a different place?" Chuck lilted, harrowing away at a nice calm pace. A melodic song spilled out of birds mouths, making it feel like some twisted Disney movie.

"No, I specifically remember putting it on the right side of George's grave."

"It's just a locket." He said in a level tone. "Maybe you can just talk to Gally instead, you know? To calm him down."

"It is not just a locket Chuck. He made it for me, with his own fucking hands and I got mad and I buried it in this stupid graveyard!" My voice had risen in volume until it had reached it's peak. Heart pounding furiously, I assuaged my temple with my fingers.

A hand splayed itself on my back.

"Y/n it's okay." Chuck smoothed the fabric of my shirt. "Just breathe, it's gonna be okay. Why don't you just let me look for a little bit. I'll look, just relax."

There I sat. Head on my knees, only the chirping of birds to fill the noise. Sun haloed down on me, sinking into my skin. Slowly, my breathing regulated, streaming in and out slowly.

My wrist was taken from me, palm turned upwards. Cool metal poured onto my skin. The charm chinked against the chain. Relief flooded on impact. Lifting my head, I saw it. Gally's gift. Right in my hand.

I kissed it.

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" I was up on my feet in a flash. I felt him beam when I flung my arms around him. "You did it Chucky!" My fingers entwined in his curls, giving them a loving toss. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. A permanent smile staked into my face as I spun around the graveyard, landing in a big pile of leaves. "Thank you Chuck. Thank you so so so much!"

"You can thank me later." Chuck laughed, pulling me up. "After we go stop your homicidal boyfriend."

"Fair enough."

Hand in hand I dragged him as we sprinted off to find Gally.

"Gally!" I ran toward his stagnant tall figure, urging my legs to move faster. "Gally!" He stayed still, back turned away from me as he waited contemptuously at the maze's entrance. Awaiting the arrival of Thomas. "Gally!" I shouted it even louder this time, wrapping my arms around his middle. He was knocked forward as I tackled him from behind, only catching himself at the last second.

"Y/n?!" He finally responded, leaving me glowing from his words. "The hell are you doing?!"

"I found it!" I reached up to loop my arms around his neck, pulling him close as I could to me. Kissing him so sweetly. I was a little rough but it was only because I couldn't stand being away any longer. I kissed him the way I knew made his cheeks flush and ears turn that funny shade of red. Not caring who saw or who whistled or who did anything. Why would I when all I cared about was Gally?

He gulped when pulling away, eyes wide open in surprise. His eyebrows arched back up to there overly expressive selves.

"What'd you find? You know I'm still not over the whole Thom-" I let the locket drop, still keeping a hold of the chain to give him the big reveal.

"I love you, you Goon!" I cried out, laughing. Shoving and playfully slapping him. "Now help me put this on and kiss me already!"

Gally's Point Of View:

Everything she had said was perfect. How could I expect anything less from her though. My y/n. Mine.

I unhooked the chain and slid it around their neck, affixing it into place. I turned them around by their shoulders. Cupping that pretty face with that pretty pretty smile.

Then our noses bumped against each other. Concentrated, I littered kisses on their chin, cheeks, forehead, ears, neck, placing a last one on their throat. It felt like I had been deprived of oxygen and just got a full breath of air.

Y/n was my air.

"We're back!" A horrible voice yelled. Fucking shit. I let go of y/n. Two people could be seen jogging on back, splashing and kicking water up as they returned.

My eyes narrowed when I saw him. How dare he interrupt my moment I had with y/n. How dare he exist. Pose a threat to me, can't believe he had the gull. How dare he touch her when she was mine.

Y/n's Point Of View:

"You?!" Gally straightened up, knuckles curling at the sight of Thomas and Minho. "I need to talk to you!" His momentary softness was gone. Back to mean Gally I guess. I wish he could just stop. Wasn't me loving him enough?

Thomas flashed me a look of betrayal. I shook my head back at him. What? It's not like I outwardly told Gally. He just kind of figured it out on his own.

Other boys ran to meet the two as they crossed over to safety. If you could call it that.

"Now what the hells going on out there?!" Newt's inquiry was rushed as he limped over.

"Yeah, the hell you done now Thomas?" Gally asked bitterness edging his voice. Minho and Thomas cut through the crowd, we all followed swiftly behind them.

"We found something." Thomas got straight to the point, not having the patience to deal with Gally's sour mood. "A new passage. We think it could be a way out."

"Really?" Newt couldn't believe this as much as the rest of us. I mean three years and we're just now finding this out?! How? A way out?! It was all someone could dream for. How could it be real?!

"It's true." Minho affirmed, as we continued our fast pace. His breath clinging on to him, begging to slip away. "We opened a door. Something I'd never seen before. I think it must be where the griever's go during the day."

"Wait, woah woah woah." Chuck sped up to catch the group, his cheeks a light pink. "You're saying you found the grievers home? And you want us to go in?"

A home for the grievers? Ugh. My skin crawled thinking about the one that had creeped past me the night of my banishment. How it had given that sickening purr. Crooning as it trudged past.

"Their way in could be our way out Chuck." Thomas said, a plan already forming in his brain. Already getting ahead of himself.

I liked his style.

"Yeah." Gally let out a halting scoff. "Or there could be a dozen grievers on the other side. The truth is, Thomas doesn't know what he's done as usual!"Uh oh.

Sensing his temper I grabbed for his hand, hoping to pull him back. Pull him away to a place where we could go together. A place where he could calm down. Instead he dropped my hand, tossing it aside.

He dropped my hand. Chaos ensued.

"Yeah? Well at least I did something." Thomas's tone was sharp, the kind that was no time for bullshit. He got right into Gally's face, obviously not worried about provoking him anymore. "I mean what have you done, huh? Except for hide behind these walls all the time."

"Let me tell you something Greenie." Gally's eyes were ablaze. Only fueled from the confrontation. Seems to me like he'd been begging for something like this. And now he got it. "You've been here three days. I've been here three years!"

"Yeah you've been here three years and you're still here Gally!" Thomas yelled, his filter completely gone. "Alright so what does that tell you?! Maybe you should start doing things a little differently."

"Guys." Teresa had creeped up behind us, trying to ease herself into the conversation. The boys bickered furiously over her, silencing what she had to say. "Hey?"

"Maybe you should keep your hands to yourself Thomas. What about that? Maybe you should leave girls who are with someone alone!"

"Ooooh." The crowd jeered at the two's remarks, waiting to see who'd throw the first punch.

"Hey!" Teresa tried again to get their attention just to be greeted with disappointment. She looked so frustrated with her fists balled up. I knew I had to speak up.

"Would you shut up?!" The ferocity of my command stunned everyone into silence. "Both of you! You're being stupid, acting like children. Meanwhile Teresa's been waiting to speak." She gave me a look of gratitude, nodding. The spotlight was on her now.

"It's Alby. He wants to see Thomas..."
