ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Wendy! Wendy! Wendy, wake up!" The girl gently cracked her eyes open at the sound of her name being called.

But she was very confused when she was immediately met with the sight of blurry and quick flashes of light. She groaned in pain, clutching her now bruised forehead with her hand.

The only thing that seemed to help as she gently sat up was to take deep breaths, while rubbing the skin of her face. She was still dizzy beyond belief to the point she couldn't see anything past a foot in front of her.. She had caused some serious trauma to her head when her body had given out on her and she had harshly hit the tiled floor in the Ives bathroom.

Once the dizziness had subdued, Wendy was now able to gently push herself up into a sitting position and get a better look at her surroundings.

The girl expected to be lying down on the Ives' living room couch with an ice pack on her bruised head. The sound of the television hummed in the background as distraction and Terry would continue to rock away in her chair.

Finally, the worried eyes of Eleven would be staring into her soul and she would receive a bone crushing hug from the younger girl and all would be better again.

But that was not the case. Instead of being met with the seventies living room, Wendy Harrington was met with grim hallways of the all too familiar place, Hawkins Laboratory.

This place looked completely different. There was no blinding fluorescent lights shining down on her. Instead the lights were flashing sporadically as if reflecting a message for help. There was no sound that came from the many scientists who employed the building, not even a single footstep.

The laboratory hallway was completely abandoned and was mostly covered by a shadow of darkness.

It was so dark that the girl didn't even notice that an object had laid in her path as soon as she stepped one foot forward. The girl harshly stumbled forward but her fall was luckily broken by another object of a softer nature that laid in her way.

She didn't even know what she had landed on but she knew that it was sticky to the touch and it was now all over her hands. She cringed at the new uncomfortable feeling on her skin, so she resorted to just wiping her hands on the back of her pants.

The substance instantly glimmered in the light when she had removed her hands from her back pockets. She was also hit with the reek of that strong metallic smell that lingered under your nose for too long.

It was blood.

Wendy jumped up with a shriek once she had realized she was now covered in a layer of blood but her shriek became ear drum shattering when she had looked down, making eye contact with another set of glazed over eyes.

The object she had fallen on was a chew up dead body of some poor scientist that had been eaten alive minutes prior to her arrival.

That wasn't the worst of it. The rest of the hallway was covered in variations of chewed up dead bodies and puddles of crimson red blood.

The only thing capable of making human bodies look like mere chewed up rag dolls were one of those monsters from the Upside Down. The thought, sight and smell alone made the girl want to vomit. She couldn't even fathom what had happened prior.

She was frozen to the ground and barely able to move her feet backwards. The only thing she could do was stare at her bloody hands the countless dead bodies with tears of terror.

"Wendy?!" A familiar male voice called out.

The girl was quickly snapped out of her frozen state. It never crossed her mind that someone else would be in the abandoned building with her, let alone someone that had a voice similar to a person that she had known for years.

She slowly turned around in order to get a good look at the the owner of the familiar male voice. Her heart stopped at the sight. The person that stood in front of her was someone she had not seen in over a year. It felt like a fever dream to her.

"Dad?" Wendy called, tears beginning to stream down her face at the sight.

It was Thomas Harrington, her father.

But this was a different Thomas.

Something was terribly wrong. He wasn't dressed in his usual polo shirt and tailored pants for starter. He was wearing a set of green nurse scrubs that were covered in splotches of blood.

His eyes were glassy, filled with absolute fear. He had definitely seen something that he shouldn't of. It wasn't the same goofy male that she remembered raising her as she grew up. This wasn't the same man that usually came off as warm and inviting.

Instead, it was a version of Thomas that was shivering on the spot in fear. He was scared, an emotion that Wendy had never seen before on her father. The sight was unusual.

"Dad? What's wrong?" Wendy questioned worryingly, stepping closer to him.

"They're coming, Wendy." Thomas spoke briefly, his voice shaking out of fear.

"What's coming, dad?" Wendy asked in confusion.

"Those dogs.......They were the ones that killed those poor people. They're vicious beings. I don't even think they're from our world, whatever they are." Thomas explained nervously.

"Dogs? What dogs? You mean the demogorgan?" Wendy pondered in confusion.

"No, it's not the demogorgan but they're apart of his army." Thomas answered.

"His army? Who's army......?" The Harrington girl was cut off by a series of howls.

Those sounds must of belonged to the monsters that her father warned about as Thomas immediately froze on the spot, once the sounds echoed through the hallway.

Wendy also tensed up at the new unknown sounds. She never expected to come face to face with the monsters of the Upside Down again.

"They're coming......" Thomas freaked out by the sudden noises. "You must run, Wendy, darling."

"But what about you, dad?" Wendy questioned, becoming choked up by the situation.

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Thomas assured with a soft smile to calm the girl down.

Before suddenly, the sounds of howling that were once distant became closer. The monsters were just nearing the corner.

"Run!" Thomas exclaimed, causing the young girl to nod with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Wendy turned her back to her dad to get a head start in running just as the small beasts had rounded the corner. They immediately picked up on the new human scent lingering in the hallway, causing them to howl with delight.

Wendy didn't attempt to look back as she ran towards the end of the hallway, which was just a complete shadow at this point. There was no turning back now, so she ran straight into the darkness to avoid the now hungry monsters of the Upside Down.

The more she ran into the darkness, the more light headed she felt before it all came crashing down on her and she fainted on the spot due to a sudden harsh impact she felt.

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Wendy felt an invasion of light in her eyes accompanied with a series of muffled voices when she had awoken. The lightheaded feeling she had felt prior to blacking out had calmed down a little bit.

When she had opened her eyes, she was met with the calm atmosphere of the night sky that was decorated in twinkling stars. She had somehow able to teleport herself to a new location without any clue.

At least, she was no longer in the dreaded Hawkins Laboratory and was just laying in a field of grass under the peaceful night sky.

She sighed in relief, leaning her head against the plush grass, finally gaining some sort of tranquility to that tragic moment she had just witnessed.

"Holy shit! Stanley!" A prepubescent voice screamed in fear, causing Wendy to shoot up from her spot.

Her moment of peace was ruined by screams. She would of ignored them but when her brother's name was mentioned, she couldn't help but investigate the matter.

In the distance, she had noticed a group of young looking teens all scurrying around a teenage boy with noticeable brown curly hair. The thing that stood out the most to the young girl was definitely the bright crimson red substance that covered every teen's hands up to their elbows.

She knew that the curly haired boy had been hurt badly and she rushed over to step in. As she approached the group, her heart stopped upon the sight as the injured boy was her older brother, Stanley Harrington.

"Stanley?!" Wendy called out in worry.

The boy in question, Stanley Harrington, sat on the ground clutching a drenched piece of fabric to his arm, that was bleeding profusely. The boy had accidentally come into contact with one of those dogs from the Upside Down and they had taken a sizeable chunk out of his arm.

He was currently bleeding out as Steve Harrington and the other Party members (Nina, Lucas, Dustin and some cute red head girl) all attempted to tend to his wound.

He was definitely not in the best condition as he had turned a paler colour and all energy was sucked out of him as soon as the adrenaline escaped his body.

"Put pressure on it!" Steve ordered in a panic, pacing back and forth on a spot.

"I am, asshole!" Dustin screamed, frantically pressing more pieces of fabric to the wound that had already bleed through everything.

"Can you two stop fighting! I could literally die over here!" Stanley screeched in annoyance before hissing out in pain by the amount pressure the curly haired boy had placed on his wound.

"No, no, no, no, no." Wendy shook her head, trying to stop the tears from escaping her eyes.

"You can't save him, Wendy." A voice called out to her as everything faded to darkness around her.

"Stanley! Stanley!" Wendy called out, running over to her brother's seated figure.

But it was too late. He and the rest of teens had faded to mere particles of dust. She was just trapped in complete darkness.

"You can't save any of them."

The frightened girl was then met with a series of traumatic events that were a clear indication of the future.

The first one was Hopper being buried alive in the Upside Down tunnels that had slithered their way under Hawkins.

Next was Will Byers, who was strapped to a hospital bed and screaming in pain as the shadow monster invaded his body.

Then, Mike Wheeler, who was being apprehended by military personal at Hawkins Labs before the warning lights began to flash at an attack. The sounds of blood curdling screams and gunshots echoed in her head right after the flash of Mike.

Wendy was then met with the images of the lab scientists being eaten alive and pulled apart by the dogs from the Upside Down before being left for dead.

Next, she saw her father. Thomas Harrington was frighten beyond belief as he hid behind a wall in the lab, trying to avoid the wrath of the dogs that currently surveyed the halls.

Finally, she was met with the same frightening sight of her brother. He was still bleeding out but this time, he was hiding inside of the same abandoned bus in the junkyard with Steve, Nina, Dustin, Lucas and that mysterious (but cute) red headed girl. The group of six were all hiding in fear as the same dogs from the labs were trying to attack them.

"You are weak. You can't save any of them. You will fall, just like the rest of your measly world."

ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Wendy Harrington's eyes shoot open on command when her mind was no longer plagued with violent imagery.

The sudden rude awakening that her weak body had given her, caused a wave of disorientation and an unpleasant mix of nausea. She was so disoriented, to the point that everything in sight looked hazier and darker than usual.

When she forced himself to sit up, she had to tightly clutch the ground to make sure that she wouldn't topple back over onto the tile floor immediately. She gasped for some much needed air, tightly squeezing his eyes shut in order to focus on calming himself down.

After a few deep breaths, his disorientation and nausea began to subside but the pit in her stomach stayed. She was feeling better but still not great.

Wendy weakly reached both hands to grab onto the ceramic sink in front of her. With her hands tightly holding onto the surface, she harshly pushed herself up and off the tile floor. Her legs shook violently as she struggled to steady herself in a standing position.ย  She must of been knocked on the floor in a laying position for so long that her legs must of turned to complete mush.

Slowly but surely, the evident shaking had began to control itself to the point that she could comfortably let go of the sink and take a step on her own towards the locked door.

The preteen girl breathed in relief when she made her first set of steps towards the bathroom door and nothing had happened to her. She was glad that she wasn't paralyzed of some sort after her realistic dream.

The girl reached out to the door knob and turned it open with ease. She was perfectly okay. Luckily, the staircase was right in front of the bathroom, so she can easily make her way down the stairs and act as if nothing else had happened.

That didn't go according to plan.

As soon as Wendy stepped one foot down on the first step, she immediately senses a new wave of vibrations in the area. That meant only one thing, someone was near her. She was deaf to any calls of her names but she could easily recognize when a new person has just entered within a foot of her presence because of the vibrations she felt in the ground.

The girl was met with gentle sound vibrations, which meant very soft footsteps and those types of footsteps only belong to one person. Those were Eleven's steps.

Wendy turned her head and sure enough, she was met the sight of a determined Eleven, who had already packed up all of her belongings. The girl already looked ready to leave, despite the pair only being in the Ives household for only a few hours but something must of drastic happened.

"El." Wendy called in a soft tone.

"Chicago." Eleven answered, simply but full of determination. "We must go to Chicago."

"Why must we go to Chicago?" Wendy questioned, unsure of the girl's reasoning.

"To see Eight." Eleven answered but the Harrington girl was still lost.

"Your sister, right?" Wendy pondered.

"Yes." Eleven nodded. "It's very important that we go to see her." She insisted.

"El." Wendy sighed out, feeling a heavy weight on her chest at what's she about to say. "I'm sorry but I'm not going with you." She announced.

"Why?" Eleven questioned in confusion with wide eyed. "Friends stick together." She reminded.

"I know but I got this weird vision of the future when I was in the bathroom. It looked really bad, so I though it would be best for me to stay in Hawkins to make sure that everything is ok." Wendy explained.

"It'll be fine." Eleven tried her best to assure.

"Everything will probably be fine but I have this weird feeling about this." Wendy defended. "It'll be better if I stay.....just in case."

"Wendy....."

"Don't worry about me. I'm been on my own before, this will be easy for me. You focus on finding your sister." Wendy reassured.

"What is something happens to you?" Eleven asked in a worried tone.

"If anything happens then I'll just go back to Hopper or even Joyce. One of them will help me out if I run into trouble. It'll be okay." Wendy answered.

"We'll see each other again?" Eleven pondered.

"Of course, we will." The Harrington girl nodded as a way of reassurance.

"I believe that we'll get back to each other in no time and everything will be normal again. Don't forget about that and don't give up on yourself. You're ready to see the world on your own, so go do that." Wendy exclaimed, sharing a gentle smile with the preteen girl who had been like a sister to her.

"I'll miss you." Eleven sighed sadly.

"I'll miss you too." Wendy nodded.
