Ron watched Juliet oddly as she sat under a tree, a sketch book in hand after she'd picked up the hobby over the summer. He watched her looked to Slytherin, back down at the book for a moment, then back at them again. Anger rushed through his veins, he could imagine Malfoy would have destroyed her drawings or tore her pages. The youngest Weasley boy stormed over, chest heaving, wanting to see the damage before nailing him in the nose.

When Ron got close he expected Juliet to look at him with sad eyes, ones that always broke his heart in two. But instead he was met with shiny, dazzled chestnut orbs that blinked behind her lashes, "Ronnie."

"What are you doing?" he asked, taking a breath to calm his anger he had just moments before, sitting next to her quickly. Juliet tilted the book toward him, pushing the pencil behind her ear to show off the drawing. Ron cleared his throat as he stared down at the outline of the fours faces, she'd captured their features so perfectly from so far away. Ron didn't understand what she had drawn Pansy, Blaise, Theo, and Draco for.

"I wanted to use watercolors to paint the green in but Professor Frog Face wouldn't let me go into the art room to get them." Juliet said with a roll of her eyes, leaning back on the bark to glance toward Ron, "Bloody moron she is."

"Yeah." Ron agreed as he looked down again, not wanting to ruin her mood by questioning her, knowing his words would come off rude and jealous. He was jealous, very, "So... you guys are friends now?"

"Not friends." Juliet said with a shrug, "Just not enemies."

"Why's that?" there was the tone he was scared to say anything for, the angered and snappy tone. Juliet snapped her head to him quickly with a look of disbelief.

"Don't you speak to me that way." Juliet spoke calmly as she stare at him, "What's your problem?"

"Them, they're my problem." Ron spoke annoyed and angrily as the two stood on sync, "I don't understand why you're all of a sudden hanging around them."

"I'm not hanging around them." Juliet snapped back at him defensively and angry, "Because I draw a picture we're all of a sudden best friends?"

"It's not just the picture, Juliet, it's everything. You left the Great Hall with Pansy, you took a walk around the lake with Blaise." Ron spoke annoyed, watching Juliets face fall considering she hadn't thought he noticed, "You're acting all secretive but get mad at me when I do."

Juliet blinked, she didn't know what to say, she hated keeping things from him but telling Ron wouldn't just be effecting her, "I-I can't tell you."

Ron's face fell slightly before he put on the angered and annoyed expression to hide his hurt, "Thats the problem then, isn't it?"

With that he walked away, leaving her under her tree as she huffed, "Ron! Ron, come back."

But he was long gone, and all she was doing was making a scene.

"Your fault for hanging around Weaselbee." Draco spoke after Juliet told him and Pansy about her first fight with Ron.

"Shut up, Draco." Juliet rolled her eyes, keeping her voice low in the library as the three walked the isles together, pretending to search for books to avoid attention being drawn to them.

"Just break up with him." Pansy shrug her shoulders as Juliet huffed and stopped to grab the book she'd been searching for a few days ago.

"Neither of you are helping me, I don't want us to break up, he's everything to me." Juliet said as Draco faked a gag, leaning on the book shelf to watch her stand on her tippy toes, pushing herself taller then him, before lowering back down to be shorter by a inch or two.

"Then just tell him, who cares?" Pansy said with a shrug, grabbing a book herself as the two girls walked, Draco hurrying to catch up with them.

"They care, they don't want people knowing." Juliet spoke, avoiding using names because she had no clue if anyone was listening in.

"Oh please." Draco rolled his eyes with a scoff, "As if you actually care."

Pansy hit his arm as Juliet rolled her eyes, "Shut up, Draco."

"I do care, you stupid ferret, my moms not gonna make it much longer, Nate and them are all i'll have left." Juliet said, a faint look of sadness across her eyes at the mention of her mother. Pansy gave Draco a knowing look, telling him not to poke at that nerve.

"So what you're saying is your muggle loving boyfriend can't keep a secret?" Pansy questioned as she nudged Juliet. Pansy wouldn't admit it to Juliet or anyone even, but she enjoyed having another girl around every now and then. Shes never had that before, always just the boys.

"He can but I don't wanna seem... untrustworthy." Juliet said with a shrug as Pansy laughed, causing Juliet to look her way with a odd look.

"Who's gonna tell them you told Weasley?" she questioned with a raise of her dark eyebrows. Juliet stared at her as if she was stupid.

"The two of you, of course." Juliet said as if it were the most obvious answer in the world.

"Who says i'll tell anyone, I can keep secrets." Pansy said as she stopped Juliet to give a knowing look up at her. Juliet and Pansy both turned to Draco who stared at them with a raise of one of his eyebrows.

"He can't." Juliet spoke knowingly as Draco nodded.

"It's true, not yours anyways." Draco said as Pansy gave him a stupid look, "What? It's Juliet."

"Yeah, the same girl that mothered you when you turned into a ferret." Juliet shot back as he turned a tomato red in embarrassment, "Don't pretend like you didn't like it."

"He won't tell." Pansy promised as she stopped the two from arguing, "If he does ill hex him and let you get the last hit in."

Draco gave a look of disbelief as he banged his head on the book shelf. Juliet smiled down at Pansy with soft eyes, "Really?"

"Of course." Pansy spoke as she smiled up at Juliet who returned it, looking to Draco who held his head in pain, causing the pair of girls to laugh and leave him behind.

"Shouldn't you be with your new best friend?" Ron asked annoyed as Juliet walked into the Gryffindor common room, staring at him with a huff.

"Come with me." she spoke, holding her hands up in hopes he'd grab hold of them.

"Why?" Ron asked, though he wanted so badly to feel the familiar lace gloves after a whole day of not.

"I don't wanna keep secrets anymore, you're my favorite person and I trust you with everything in the whole world, I wanna explain." Juliet said as Ron's eyes softened at her sentimental words, sighing as he grabbed her hands, glad to do it again.

Juliet brought Ron to their hallway, knowing it was probably the only place in the castle that would only ever be just the two of them, "My dad, before he died, he was someone else before."

"What do you mean?" Ron asked confused, not being able to comprehend her words.

"His name was Jackson Knightly in the muggle world." Juliet said as Ron nodded. Juliet fell silent for a moment, taking a breath, debating if telling her boyfriend was smart, "But in the magic world he was know as Jackson Zabini."

Ron's face fell at her words, her face paling worse then it usually was as he blinked multiple times. Juliet didn't know if she wanted him to stay silent or speak, scared of how he'd react but hating the silence. When Ron didn't speak Juliet went on, "My dad was a pure blood wizard and lived in Bristol with his sister and parents. When he was twenty three he got kicked out for spreading false information in the Daily Profit. He hide it from my mom and when he had me he hide it from me as well. I didn't know until just recently when my Auntie and cousins reached out to me."

Ron cleared his throat, "Your cousin being.."

"Blaise, yes." Juliet nodded, feeling guilty for going against the Zabini families wishes in telling people yet, "And his five sisters."

Ron seemed to be trying to wrap his head around all the information as Juliet felt a rush of guilt for piling even more onto him, "I spent some time at their home over the summer to find out more stuff about my dad, that's why i've been hanging out with all of them so much... they were just there a lot over the summer, it was hard not to."

"So you just hung out with Malfoy all summer?" Ron asked, he didn't let his tone get angry with her, keeping it softย  but the clear jealousy was present.

"It wasn't like how you're thinking, it took a lot of time for any of us to warm up to each other, still isn't even great." Juliet spoke as she put a hand on his knee in resistance, "But Blaise is my family, my blood. I clearly didn't know my dad well, spent fourteen years with him and didn't know a single thing apparently."

"Why couldn't you just tell me?" Ron asked softly as he messed with her fingers, "I wouldn't have cared that much... well, maybe a little, but not much."

"I know, i'm sorry, love." Juliet spoke sweetly as she seized his face to pull him closer, pressing a kiss to his forehand before returning to her normal position in the window seat, "But their all pureblood, i'm only a halfblood now, not to mention in Hufflepuff. My Auntie just isn't sure she wants everyone to know yet, you know how Slytherin can be with their blood purity and everything."

"They're embarrassed of you?" Ron asked in disbelief as Juliet flushed.

"N-No, I wouldn't say that. Their just protecting their own skin, i'd do the same thing." Juliet shrugged as Ron turned his head to look at her, taking notice of the slightest bit of rosy on her checks.

"No, you wouldn't." he said softly while being the one to take her face now, "You deserve better then that."

"I love them, Ron, so much." Juliet admits as her eyes watered slightly, "They're all I have."

"I know." he said, kissing her forehead, "I just wished you would have told me."

"I know." Juliet mimicked his words as she wrapped her arms around his waist and dropped her head onto his shoulder, "I'm sorry."

Ron hugged her back tightly, rubbed the back of her head in the slightest, feeling anger toward the Zabini family for wanting to keep the one person, who he'd be so joyed to share with the world, a secret.
