Having a crush on Cassie Howard was not out of the ordinary if you were a student at East Highland, she was one of the prettiest girls to attend there. But it would be a different story since you're her sister's best friend, her sister being Lexi Howard.

You and Lexi have been friends for as long as you can remember, basically growing up with each other which made her mom Suze consider you as family.

Being considered as family mean being at her house almost every day but being there a lot also meant seeing Cassie a lot, you were able to keep your crush on her pretty secretive without any problems until last week.

You had gotten a facetime call from Lexi after arriving home from her house.

"What is it Lex?"

"You must think I'm an idiot"

"Only sometimes"

"I know you have a crush on Cassie"

".... yeah I have no clue where you got that idea from"

"I saw your little interaction you had with her before you left"

You gave Lexi a dumbfounded look until you remembered what she were talking about.

You were looking for your sweater forgetting where you left it last time when you left Lexi's house. "Where the fuck did is it" you whispered to yourself while you were searching downstairs.

You hear the front door shut alerting you that someone just walked in, you turn your head to the front door seeing Cassie walk in.

"Oh uh hey Cass." She walks up to you with a smile and embraces you into a tight hug, she pulls away with a confused look. "Shouldn't you be home by now?"

You chuckle softly "I should be but I'm looking for my sweater." She sits down on the couch where you were previously searching after saying a small "Oh".

You look up and were about to ask her what's wrong until you realized why she responded like that, she was wearing your favorite sweater. Your crush Cassie Howard was wearing your clothes.

She starts getting ready to take the sweater off but you laugh and stop her from doing so. "You can keep it if you'd like, I have tons of other ones anyways."

She tilts her head slightly with a small frown "But this is your favorite one, you wear it all the time."

Her last sentence caught you off guard, she noticed that? Usually when you're over she's either out of the house or in her room.

"It's whatever, it's just a sweater you can keep it. I think it looks way better on you anyways." You say chuckling as you put your shoes on, getting ready to go home.

Just before you almost walked out the door, Cassie stops you. "I was wondering if we could ever hangout sometime... without Lexi"

It takes you second to process what she just asked but it doesn't take long for wide grin to appear on your face. "Oh yeah uh definitely" you say trying to keep in your excitement.

She lets out a sigh with a small laugh "That's good, your pause made me think you were gonna say no or something."

You both chuckle at each others reactions until Cassie brings you into another hug that you return happily, she gives you a kiss on the cheek while pulling away telling you to get home safely.

"How'd you even see any of that??"

"I was literally coming to tell you that Cassie had your sweater and I saw that you guys were talking so I kind of eavesdropped"

"I don't even know how I didn't hear you"

"........."

"Plus Rue told me like last week"

"Dammit Rue!"
