"It's her loss." I say to Carlos, patting his shoulder.

"No, it's my fault. I said Mandy instead of Sandy. Ugh, twins confuse me!" Carlos pouts, shaking his head.

"It's alright, love will come to you when you least expect it. I promise you." I say, hugging him and he turns to me with a sad grin.

"Enough about my problems. What about you guys?" He asks.

"Uh, what about us?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Are you guys together or taking things slow?"

"We're taking things slow." I grin, turning to Kendall and I intertwine his hand with mine.

I then rub his knuckles with the pad of my thumb and I feel the goosebumps rise for a second and I smirk, looking down.

"I wish I had your guys's perfect relationship." He groans with a hand on his chin.

"Carlos, our relationship is not perfect. And no relationships are perfect." I state.

"She's right. Statistically, little to none of fighting in a relationship lacks person of interest." Logan points out with a nod.

"Whatever. I'm just gonna go back to the crib. The swirly slide makes me feel better." Carlos says and stands up, walking away with his head down.

"I'm gonna go check up on him." Logan cringes and I nod.

He gives us an awkward wave and walks off.

"Where's James?" I ask, my hand still intertwined with Kendall's.

"Hitting on Lucy." He huffs and I chuckle, shaking my head.

"Who knows? It might work out." I shrug.

"Doubt it, all he really aims for is looks." He says and stands up.

"Wanna go back to my place and watch a movie?" I ask.

"Only if I get to pick." He challenges and I roll my eyes.

"Fine." I give in and he gives a smug grin and pulls me closer to him.

He wraps an arm around my shoulder and we walk to the lobby, reaching the elevator.

"Have you ever taken the stairs?" I ask.

"Their are stairs here?" He says in shock and I chuckle, pressing the second floor button.

"Yes, their are. But people rarely take them." I shrug and he nods.

"Amber?" He asks and I turn to him, nervously scratching the side of his head.

"Yeah?" I say, raising my eyebrows.

"Would you maybe wanna uh, go on a date?" He stammers and I smirk at him.

I crack a smile and smash my lips against his, wrapping my hands around his neck.

His hands make way to my waist and he pulls away panting.

"I'll take that as a yes?" He breathes.

"Duh." I say and he chuckles, kissing me again.

"Kendall?!" A voice exclaims and the elevator opens and I see a blonde girl standing there with three suitcases in her hand.

"Jo?!" Kendall shouts with wide eyes, pulling away from me.

"Y-you left for New Zealand." He stutters.

"Yeah, they cancelled the sequels and I decided to move back in." She says.

"Hi, I'm Amber." I cringe.

"Jo." She awkwardly grins and I nod, looking down.

"I'll leave you guys alone so you can uh, talk." I breathe and walk down the hallway.

"Amber!" I hear Kendall shout but ignore him, shutting the door behind me.

I knew it was too good to be true.
