26: Big time mission

"Okay, your first girl is Carly. Don't blow it." I say to Carlos, over his shoulder.

"Guys, relax. I got this." Carlos smirks, putting his helmet on and I huff, shaking my head.

"I better go find another girl." Kendall huffs.

"Yep." I nod and he walks off.

"Ugh!" I hear a loud screech and I see Carly smack Carlos in the face and he winces.

"Ow." He cringes as Carly scurries off.

"Carlos! What did you say?!" I exclaim, speeding over to him.

"Nothing!" He says and I raise an unconvinced eyebrow at him.

"Fine! I might've said she looks better with makeup. I guess she took it the wrong way." He shrugs with a frown.

"Carlos, even I'm taking it the wrong way! That's not how you compliment a girl." I groan, shaking my head.

"Let me see your cheek." I huff and he turns his face sideways.

"You're fine. Doesn't look too bad. Kendall will be back with another girl soon."

"I told you, I don't need help." He says.

"Yes, you do." I say, putting both of my hands on his shoulders.

"For the last time, I don't need help!" He exclaims and I flinch, taking my hands off his shoulders.

"I'm so sorry." He huffs, shaking his head.

"What's going on with you?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"Nothing. I'm just stressed out. I'm gonna go back to the apartment and spend some time in the swirly slide. Tell Kendall to forget about the other girl." He sighs and walks off.

"Okay, Carlos, meet Brooke." I hear Kendall say and I turn around.

"Where's Carlos?" Kendall asks, furrowing his eyebrows together.

"Well, after not knowing he insulted Carly, she smacked him and stormed off. He then got all mad about us helping him and walked off." I frown.

"I don't have time for this." Brooks groans and walks off.

"Did Carlos say where he was going?" Kendall asks.

"Yeah, back to the apartment. I'll go talk to him." I say, walking foward.

"No, you stay here. Let me talk to him, man to man." He says and I chuckle with a nod.

"Okay, man." I say and he chuckles, pecking my lips and he walks off.

"I'm coming!" I exclaim as I hear a knock on my door.

"Hey, how did the talk with Carlos-" I'm cut off as I see Kendall's hair all messed up, a black eye and his clothes all ripped up.

"Oh my god. What happened?" I gasp, moving toward him, tracing his eye.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." He says and brushes me off him.

"No, you're not. What happened?" I state, pulling him in.

I shut the door and cross my arms, facing him.

"So, Carlos and I were just talking it out. One thing led to another, we had an argument. He brought Jo into it, so I took a swing at him but he blocked it and took a hit at my eye." He says, running his fingers through his hair.

"Kendall, why must you always resort everything to violence?!" I sigh.

"I'm sorry, okay? My temper gets the best of me, most of the time." He mutters and I sigh, frowning.

"Okay, you stay here and let me talk to him. Girl to guy." I chuckle and head out.

"Carlos?!" I call out, opening the door.

"Go away. Carlos isn't here right now." He groans from the swirly slide and I frown, walking over to the slide.

"Carlos, please come out. We need to talk. I plead.

"No. Just leave me alone. I'll forever be alone anyway." He whines.

"Carlos, that is so not true! You'll find someone. You just have to be patient. Love will come when you least expect it." I say and all I hear is silence.

"Look, Kendall and I are sorry for trying to find a girl for you. I shouldn't of thought of the idea. It's your job to find a girl you like and make a move. I'm sorry Carlos." I sigh and he comes swirling down the swirly slide.

"It's okay. I understand, you guys were only trying to help me." He says and I give him a sad grin.

"And uh, I'm sorry for punching Kendall." He nervously says and I chuckle.

"It's fine. He swung at you first, he deserved it." I shrug.

"We have a situation!" A voice says as the door busts open.

I flinch and stand behind Carlos with my hands on his shoulders.

"Woah!" Carlos and I say as he puts on his helmet.

"Kendall and Logan, what is going on?!" I exclaim as an orange James manages to escape.

"Well, James is orange. He has Hollywood fever." Kendall says and I examine both boys who have water guns taped to their bodies and sunglasses.

"Why is he orange?"

"His barracuda man spray. It's like he doesn't know where he came from anymore." Logan says.

"I have a plan." I say and Kendall smirks at me.

"Logan, be on the look out in the park. Carlos, stay in the lobby. And you, stay at the pool." I say, clapping my hands and we spread apart.

"What about you?" Kendall asks.

"I'll be at the studio" I say and he tosses me a water gun.

"I'll be fine, go." I say, pecking his lip and he grins heading out.

This calls for a big time mission.
