It was night yet things were so bright it was almost as if it was the middle of the day. Neon lights brightened up the sky, blues, greens, pinks and whites. Everything continued to bustle, and only in that moment did you realise how small you were, how compared to the rest of your world you were just an ant with nothing for anyone to remember you by. It was a bittersweet feeling realising your life was nothing but worthless, like an ant in a colony you were nothing but worthless. Would you give up your life, your future to save his sister? That question circulated in your mind, so much would change if Naoto sends back Takemichi to change the most important moment which led to you and your love, Naoto meeting for the first time. It would change everything.

Where would you end up? Who would you end up? Would you ever meet Naoto again? You wiped the tear that began to fall down your cheek hearing the sound of footsteps behind you slowly growing. You swung your hand out waving it slightly, to make them stop in which they did. You knew exactly who the person was yet you had made up your mind on you vs the life of his sister. Her life was worth more than yours in his eyes, and maybe just maybe she would live more than you have. You knew if you would turn around to stare at him you would change your mind.

'Y/n-'

You cut him off.

'Do it.'

Your voice trembled, you didn't deserve this. You didn't deserve to give up your freedom, your life for someone else's you've never met. You weren't being selfish, if anyone else would be in this situation they would be heartless and save themselves. You bit your fingers, one tear, then another tear until you couldn't count them as they streamed down your face yet you didn't dare to whimper.

'Y/n-'

You cut him off.

'Just do it-' you cried, 'Please just do it.'

You knew Takemichi was in the distance somewhere when you heard his footsteps getting closer. You knew he was standing next to Naoto by now. You knew what was about to come and you couldn't stop it, you heard their hands clap, you knew your future was about to change and in the split second you regret your decision.

'Wait-' It was too late.

In that moment you realise that everything is gone. Every single memory you had with the boy would be changed forever. You listened to his feet getting louder as they came closer, it was of course him. He sat down beside you, arm thrown over your arm tightly squeezing you into him. You heard him sniffle as he cried on your shoulder. You ran your hand over his hair playing it with your fingers.

'Is this the end?'

You nodded your head, unfortunately it was. It was the end and you couldn't do anything about it so you just sat there with the boy sitting with his head on your shoulder. He brought his other hand, gripping it tight on your thigh, squeezing it.

'Thank you, thank you for everything y/n.'

You smiled, as things soon faded away into the darkness of the world you kept with your memories with you. You spent the days knowing the end was near with him, sucking up every moment, every memory with him until it just faded away until you could remember him just as a figure of your imagination.

You stared at your lover while you held his case, he gave you a smile. A kiss on a cheek before you gave him his case as he disappeared from your sight. You began to walk away without turning your head and just as you began to walk your head made contact with someone's chest.

'I'm sorry!' the person cried

You turned your head around to see the man, he was black haired and looked like someone you knew long ago. You gave him a smile yet you were confused to see why he was so shocked in a way.

'It's fine!'

He bowed to you holding back tears, yet you were sure you didn't bump into him that hard, he wiped his tears. He apologised to you, walking away you gave him a small wave. He was so weird yet you swore you met him once before but yet you couldn't put your finger on how you knew him, he just felt familiar to you, you went on your day yet he continued to cross your mind, he was so familiar but why?
