Hawks X Reader (Part Two)

Was it apparent to her? With the warmth of the sunlight driven into the windowpane alighting the entire room in a goldish color one so thick that it even awoke the most sleep needing of all. Her body laid unloved for hours, no hands snaked around her holding her tightly, there was no body underneath or beside her that she could still warm off, no soft snoring or heartbeat she could match hers with and no boy named Dabi in sight.

Her hand tapped around the coffee table, she touched unwashed bowels left from the night prior, the beginning to wilt roses before finally touching the edge of her phone she picked it up noticing one of two things. Number one, he had left a few hours after she fell asleep, and number two an apparent "emergency" meeting between her and Hawks called forth by her agent.

She put on casual clothes, nothing but a saggy gray jumper that belonged to her said "mystery man" and black tights she found hanging on the sofa. Why bother dressing professionally for someone who is so not professional. She shuffled to the doorway with phone in tow, unlocking it to reveal such a prominent and rememberable face. Hands shoved in the pockets of the black jeans ripped at the left thigh and both knees, sunglasses pushed back the blonde hair. The sleeves to his sleeved gray shirt was pushed up revealing the muscular forearms attached to him.

'Mr Hawks.' her voice sounded entirely gloomy, the obnoxious red made her eyes squint and water just how bright the color was.

His lips opened to speak yet she beat him to the punch, which made him smile. His thoughts were quite lopsided; he liked how much of a strong woman she was.

'You do know it's quite inappropriate to show up to a well- a colleague's house uninvited is taboo.'

His face flushed with a rosy color. He placed his hand out. 'Well I don't follow rules. Shall we?'

She gave him a glare, perhaps it was the lack of sleep or something else yet she reluctantly gave her hand yet he had other ideas.

'HAWKS!' she squealed, hair flew in all different directions with an elongated laugh from him, 'Put me down!'

Her arms wrapped around him tightly, her head squished into the nape of his neck, eyes squinted tightly shut in fear of the height he held her at. He giggled and wrapped hands around her softly, her feet upon his and the obvious height difference made him love her more.

'You sure you want me to let you go here?' the smug sound of his voice made her angry 'No!' she screamed in his ear,

He laughed and held her tighter before it appeared. In a flash it was there and in a flash it was gone. He let go of her to take the brunt as the blue flame shot from the ground. It brushed his skin leaving a small burn mark as he tried to gather his position before shooting down for her.

He watched her body sink back to the city floor as she continued to floor screaming for him, her arms outstretched for him. He shot down for her at lighting speed and caught her sacred body flying up to place her on the building's roof out of harm's way. There was more than she knew between both her lover and the man who wanted to be her lover, it felt like a few seconds however was just a manner of ten or so minutes before she saw him again.

Blood trickled from a wound on his shoulder, the left side of his face grazed by soft skin burns he stood above her before he sank into her arms exhausted.

'y/n,' he muttered 'Hawks.' she returned back,

His head over her left shoulder, arms laid tired in towards his body. She hardly cared though, she let out a bunch of swears when he passed out on her shoulder realizing that she would have to carry him down a bunch of flights of stairs just to get him out of the building and even then she wouldn't be anywhere near his or her house.

'Fuck,' he swore

his headache, his eyes darted across the usual dark apartment, alone once again was all he could think about. His wounds were dressed in medical bandages and dressings, everything was in place expect for one thing. He pulled it off the coffee table, dated today the newspaper read; "A Real hero Hawks" made by a certain someone who he loved so much.

He smiled and let his body slowly rise to his feet, he waddled slowly to his bedroom he slowly turned the lights of to reveal the large risen sheets upon his bed, the body appeared awake and moving slowly he made eye contact with her. Her phone laid upon her stomach on top of the sheets, she stared at him and smiled as he sat upon the edge of the bed rubbing his swore tied arm.

'So am I a hero in your eyes?' she looked at him and shrugged,

'No it just had a good ring.'

He watched her face fluster as he nodded and stared upon the floor smiling. He couldn't help that his face went red. He heard the shuffle but the arms wrapping around his body were softly scared to hold any tighter just in case she would injure him. Her head in his shoulder as she sat behind not budging one bit as she continued to just lay there.

'Thank you.'

'Hmm?'

'Thank you.'

Hearing thank you from anyone made him blush and smile but hearing it from her changed things. It made her heart flutter and skip a beat. He knew things would end soon between them especially when he knew she knew who tried to hit them, he would dare to rush things on her, he relaxed into her body.

'Thank you y/n...'

'Huh? What did you say?' she questioned,

'Nothin' nothing...'

He smiled, only her could make his cheeks pink and his heart skip a beat; only Y/n was the one who could ever do this to someone like Hawks.
