The train casted off into distance consumed by the spell of darkness night brought with it. The first cart was for business and upper class, you really wondered how your fiance had gotten tickets. You had made sure your kimono was neat and tidy, your hair washed with no frizz and that you looked proper for him and only for him. The seats were comfortable, you adjusted your kimono and turned your head to your yawning to-be-fiance.

'You sleepy?' You questioned him,

He gave you a faint nod and you gave a smile, a small smile in return.

'You should get some sleep too, don't want you to be sitting there by yourself while i'm sleeping.'

You nodded, your head. You pretended to close your eyes, letting them stay closed for a while until you looked over to your side and knew he was dead asleep when his head hit your shoulder. You let out a small sigh of relief. The thing was, you hated sleep. Sleep wasn't your thing, you never had dreams only nightmares and that was what you hated the most about sleep. You looked around, seemingly everyone had the same idea to sleep, it was odd but it slipped your mind when your stomach began to continuously grumble and rawr.

You looked around to see if there were any servers nearby who could serve you a bento box or something like that. No one. You stood up leaving your partner to slump in the car. You walked through the first cart to the second yet you were stopped at the third. Someone else was awake, A demon. A demon stood in front of you and you froze. You stood completely frozen yet it wasn't out of fear it was out of pure curiosity. He gave a tilted curious look.

'Oh? So you're not asleep?' he questioned you,

'Was I-' your sentenced was cut short by the sound of your stomach growling,

Your cheeks went a bright pink and all he could do was stand there giggling about it before outstretching his hand to give it to you.

'Are you hungry little missy?' He questioned you,

You nodded your head as your hand found itself in his own and he whisked you away down the train. You had found bento boxes stacked feet high in the air. You went around looking at the labels, until you found the one you found that suited your hunger. Chicken teriyaki. You had flipped the top of the box open and taken to it with your chopsticks, picking one up you placed it against your lips taking a small bite seeing him eyeing the teriyaki. You gulped down your piece and held one out to him, his cheeks went bright and he slowly took it. His face grinned when he gulped it down and when he let out a few chuffles.

'Your a strange one,'

You tilted your head slightly, confused in a way.

'Humans are supposed to be afraid of demons not offering them food, missy. The second thing is that you aren't asleep.'

'Am I supposed to be?'

He nodded his head and you let out a 'oh' sound which made him chuckle as you continued to stuff your face with the teriyaki. You had finished in no time and placed the box back down to see his hand was outstretched to you once more, you smiled and took it. He took you to a small compartment where a cute little bed was. You glared at him as he laid upon it with his back against the wall patting a small spot beside him, you followed and laid down on your side beside him staring at him. He played with your hair.

'Why don't you sleep?' he suggested,

'Nightmares,' you whispered,

He moved a hair away from you, he smiled,

'Sleep missy, I promise you sweet dreams.'

His words were like drugs to you and so you found yourself deep, deep, so very deep in slumber.

'Y/n, y/n, y/n.'

You woke up with a jump, your partner was shaking you, and you stared at his worried face.

'Finally you're awake, it's been the whole trip!'

You looked at him confused, for a moment as you let out a little yawn.

'I swear I was awake,'

He chuckled,

'You were asleep the whole time on my shoulder,'

You let out an 'oh' as you rubbed your tired eyes, staring at the man in front of yourself.

'I swear I had the strangest dream; I met a demon.'

He chuckled once more, he told you how silly you were and that it was just a dream yet it didn't feel like one. It felt like reality more than a dream.
